LOL get a lawyer in Bellevue. So true--I live there and you can't throw a rock without hitting a lawyer or a doctor or anyone richer than me, really. XD
Oh it's all in good fun. The "rich" parts of town were never spared by this show. Exhibit One: Cops on Mercer Island (which I don't think is on YouTube yet, unfortunately). I grew up in Renton and always thought the sketches making fun of Renton were spot on, and funny!
@elizbethwhalen They routinely skewered the 'rich' of the area, the best of which was that sketch where a bunch of guys from Bellevue are having lunch and one upping each other about the size of their boats and sniffing really loudly to drive each point home. It's on YouTube just look for "Bellevue Lunch Meeting"
the media invented grunge. we were just cold youths shopping at army surplus and thrift stores. it was really more of a northwest white trash look. it is a little embarrassing though, so thanks for bringing it up : (
Well, it is a practical style: you save money for MBI or Old E, have layers you can ad on or peel off on those schizophrenic rain-sun-rain days, and don't have to worry too much about laundry or appearance. I'm still "grunge" — haven't bought an article of clothing in years — but the malt liquor's gotten more expensive and more potent.
Classic! It even shows Jerry's Agate Shop in the background at Cave Man Chicken before Jerry changed it to Jerry's Rock Shop because jokers kept putting an "F" in front of "Agate" making it look like Jerry's FAgate Shop.
At the 2:28 mark I saw a glimpse of Cave Man barbecue! I lived right around th corner, loved that place!

2:07 boom mic. Look at the top
campfiresaloon 1 year ago
@campfiresaloon The boom mic is SUPPOSED to be in frame. It's a Cops spoof. Watch Cops sometime and see how many times the boom is in the shot.

Does anyone remember "Folk Songs of the Pacific Northwest" on Almost Live? "Kegger in the Field"? If you have it, please post.

Kent's Laws are pretty funny and with no bad reason at all. That's why I love these Almost Live Cops! Mostly Bill Nye!! XD
And 2:26 was pretty much the best part! Hahaha! Caveman kitchen! I forgot about that place all these years!

Sheesh, Seattlites can be a bunch of snobs sometimes. Should we remind you that you invented the "grunge" look?

I was in denial about Kent until I moved up to Seattle. Really, how hard is it to get dressed to go to the grocery store?
