i did an interview with mike peters at his parents home in the 80, i was only 15 it was awsome mike was really easy going also got sighed photos, memorries to keep hold off
fantastic band and so under rated, "We first met on Mathew St where we heard somthing that would set us free." Also 4 lads who shook the world, Classic lyrics
I watched this and loved it at the time. I even had it recorded on my old betmax video recorder. This is the first time I've seen this clip since the late 80's and it's like being put in a time machine back to my youth. I loved this band any found them to be a huge inpiration for my own musical style. Thanks for the post.
God bless em! This was so relevant to me in the '80's as the antithesis of so much of the BS that was on the air. I really thought they would follow in U2's footsteps ha ha!
I remember this - "I bet they could hear this up in Newsnight" Absolutely superb ! Mike said he was late for this performance - stuck in a taxi .... !
I was the bass player in a cover band called A21 in the early 80s and we supported the Alarm at a venue called THE CRYPT in Hastings East Sussex.
A fight broke out between two guys in the crowd and Mike Peters signaled the band to stop playing.
Mike said "If you want to fight get outside".
Well the 2 guys were hoofed out and the band started playing again exactly where they stopped.
Very professional.
Good times.
