  • How durable are these resistance bands? I'll class the price more than worth it if they last long enough.

  • We've had quite a few units on test in professional gyms for well over a year and they get used day in day out and they seem to be fine. We are users not just sellers and mine have been going for over a year. Of course it depends on how much you use them..they are rubber and just like a pair of trainers they will wear out. We would guarantee them for at least 6 months for reasonable usage.

  • Well you can but the issue is that when you punch with a weight you are actually throwing the weight, so it gathers momentum and therefore gives you little resistance to punches. Also the resistance primarily acts down (with gravity) and therefore does not actually oppose the direction of the punch, unless you lie on your back and punch towards the sky. Of course then you don't really have free movement to move around. Finally the product has a variety of uses not just for punching...

  • Why can't you use 1lb dumb bells instead? Lot cheaper and has a natural range and flow when you punch

  • looks good, just wish the price wasnt so dear, im very poor and cant afford the price =/

  • For the cost versus the benefit people get by using it, we think it offers good value. Much better than say gym membership or other products on the market. We came top in an independent fitness product review on ITV's This Morning and most of the other products were more expensive than us.

  • @marinejackson use old bike inner tubes

  • I bet if you shadow box without it, youre fast!

  • very cool...I don't have the vest, but I do that with the fitness cables : ) 5 Stars : )

  • you make it look easy

  • how does it make u loose weight so fast

  • Very good.

    Thanks

  • awesome song lool

  • Can you only use this for shadow boxing or can you use it for hitting the pads or bag work aswell?

  • Yeah you can use it for heavy bag work or strike pads if you wish, although works better with MMA gloves than Bag Gloves as gives a better grip. They've also got a power punching/kicking upgrade out which increases your power even faster.

  • thats what Ive been looking for!!!! I saw that only at american e-stores, but the delivery prices were too high. TY!!!

  • Hey pyr0anse - So, how do you know Phil?

  • Thanks, Savateur9. Watch this space, we are working on an attachment for kicks. We are working closely with respected martial artists to develop and refine the leg attachment. I tested a prototype and it was great fun, it still requires a bit of refinement, but is coming soon.

  • How`s that attachment for kicks coming along?

  • Leg Accelerators are ready and available from Sept. 17th in UK.

  • Cool. :)

  • I fully recommend one of these for the more experienced boxer/martial artist. I use one myself and i think they're fantastic, simple and provide a great resistance for training no matter who you are.

  • Thanks for your comments. Please continue to give us feedback and comments as we continue to refine and develop the product. Please also help us spread the word. I myself am an avid user and take it with me everywhere...probably slightly unhealthy I know...Keep punching ;)

  • Some tips that other users have fed back to me. Some use the belt in the reverse i.e. with the velcro part facing front. This shortens the throw giving more resistance, they use the product like this for the first set or for press ups, assisted sit ups etc. Also if your lucky enough to have a training partner the 2nd person can hold you back if for example you hit a heavy bag, so this enables you to enhance your driving footwork. More videos to follow on this stuff.

  • Ha ha. I loved the fat guy I think he's cute.

  • First of all I thought "wow" what a great idea for the fitness enthusiast and the serious trainer -- really well demonstrated by the vid.......then Benny Hill turned up! So funny. I guess the video is the wrong way around. You start looking like Benny Hill, and end up looking like the boxing pro.

  • god dammit! youre being way too professional! no raise out of you! it looks like a great product (esp if you can change the elasticity/strength of the chords. and i unfortunately have damaged one of my walls from hitting the yellow pages ive hung from it, as my ceiling isnt strong enough to take a bag : (

  • Ha ha. Johnty you're my kinda wind up merchant ;) Want a job? Try it out you'll love it. My neighbours think I'm nuts because I keep punching a tree in the back garden, they see it shaking & wonder what I'm doing! Not advisable for beginners. Laters dude

  • Forgot to say body combat is an aerobics style class based on martial arts movements that over 80k people in the UK now take part in. Some people don't want to hit a heavy bag or spar competitively. If you are involved in MA's or boxing you must use a Heavy bag, speed ball etc. But the fact that boxing & martial arts gyms and fitness studios are now using this would suggest others find value in using the VRT. We can't please all of the people all of the time.

  • what does low impact mean? what the fuck is "body combat??" who are these very experienced professional boxers and martial artists?

besides all this i would still recommend shadow boxing with weights in your hands to increase speed and flexibility if you can't for ome strange reason put up a bag or go to a gym ....

many of these gimmicky toys come out and they rarley compare to punching a bag/a friend competitively.

  • Low impact means not striking something i.e. heavy bag, wall ball etc. Experienced professionals Paul Briggs, Boxing. James Sinclair, Wing Chun etc. Using wrist weights doesn't give forward resistance required as weight acts with gravity. This is a supplement to training based on a device that Evander Holyfield used to use. Johhty obviously doesn't like it.

  • ok for straight punch movements but useless for uppercuts and hooks (like in the vid) t

just hit a bag it will do the same better and more (back, lats etc) - you will get ripped up if you do an hour or so of intensive bag work everyday - this thing will create unbalanced, undesired proportions.

  • Not everyone wants to pound a heavy bag, the device is 'low impact'. Not everyone can/wants to hang a heavy bag up in their homes. This device is portable and convenient. Some very experienced (professional) boxers, martial arts and fitness practitioners are now incorporating this into their workouts and they haven't been paid to do so. Useful to develop bridging hand techniques (sometimes referred to as forward energy), shadow sparring and incorporation into boxercise, body combat sessions.

  • this is the coolest thing I have ever seen!!! I will definitely get one for my husband,

  • Looks good, Might add one of these on my xmas list
