  • the movie was great!

  • @ipwnyouu Thanks so much! What was your favorite part?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms i don't really know. I laughed when your brother did an impression of Harrison Ford :P

  • Happy New Year!

  • @JustinIsAlwaysWright I think it works... but don't quote me on that.

  • What happened with Blake and Andrew and his sister?

  • @wtyazzie2000 What do you think happened?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms I personally don't think anything happened between them because at the end they seemed as though everything was ok.

  • That was awesome. Good work!

  • @FIXEDbyFIXER Thanks so much, God bless and Happy New Year!

  • LOL! She said "Get oot!"

  • @QuartuvLarry Canadian accents! Do you know any Canadians?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms I'm trying to but they keep escaping, eh!

  • Excellent work, Mr. Crowder! This is some great writing. Your brother had some fantastic one-liners. :-) I loved how the story ended for everyone. It was real, and therefore, relatable. I hope to see more work from you and your brother in future.

  • @ChaseYutano Thanks so much for your kind words. I hope to be working on feature No. 2 very soon. Happy New year!

  • Hey Jordan, can you find me a girlfriend? :D

  • @ocsmalltown I can try!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms This movie was awesome!!! It would have been better if you had Harrison Ford in it though :D

  • Well done with the film! Didn't know what to expect with the acting but it was just as good as the story. :) The story is so sad, but at least it's real. You and your brother are both very talented.

  • @StarSapphire93 Thanks for your comment! I guess I don't necessarily see it as sad, but hopeful for a new beginning.

  • I'd been looking forward to this film since i subscribed to your channel back in 2008. I blazed through this film from beginning to end. Great and funny dialogue, character development, acting and production values. It really inspires me as a first year film student myself. This is great quality film making in an industry lacking a lot of heart, honesty and thought. I can't wait to see what you do next. Kudos from Melbourne, Australia. =D

  • @Xtos1989 Thanks for your kind words. They meant a lot to me, blessings to you my Aussie friend.

  • @JordanCrowderFilms I love your work Jordan. I've been waning to see this since I saw the trailer 4 years ago. It's better than I thought it'd be. Becase it's real life. No cliched happy ending romance. You kept it real. Just like Clerks. But unlike Clerks, don't make a sequel. That ruined it.

  • This is excellent from beginning to end. It's like the story of my life.

  • @bigbirdtalent Thanks so much, I cherish comments like these. I feel when you make a film as close and as personal to yourself as possible, it becomes universal. I always want people to watch my characters and say "that's me" or "I know someone like that."

  • yo jordan you have an arrogant, one-sided, prick for a brother

just thought I'd let you know

  • @bojanks15 Thanks, because I am my brother, and your opinion of both him and I matter a great deal. I appreciate the comment.

  • I waited for a long time to be able to watch this, so I'm glad it's finally available. The best parts were the interactions between Steven and Jordan.

  • @kalinrheanne I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Steven has some of the best scenes in the movie!

  • Okay so what happened with the Blake character and the brother of the girl who accused him of being a perv? I mean......i heard "You shit!" and then "What" and then no real resolution in the conversation. im not good at imagining a story.

  • @Brikkzabeth I appreciate the feedback, there was actually more to the story in the screenplay, but due to shooting complications we had to rewrite a lot of that subplot. You live, you learn!

  • The last thing I wanted to see today is Steven Crowder naked on the john. Lost all interest after that.

  • @Danny2Lisa Sorry about that, the rest of the film doesn't have as much naked Steven in it.

  • Finally watched this film and really enjoyed it. (Fan of Steven Crowder on Redeye.) It's a kind of Brothers Crowder do a Brothers McMullen meets Diner film. An honest , well written, funny film. Liked the Charlie Sheen-hookers-in-the-closet mention, Harrison Ford peck implants jab, Danny 98/Blake 2, and so much more. The acting is pretty decent. Best are Jordan, Steven and Julian. The Gougers soundtrack great. Needed closure on the Blake, Haley, Andrew subplot. Subtle good values inserted :)

  • @CuratesEgg Thanks for the kind review! Diner is one of my favorite films! I agree about the Blake/Haley subplot.

  • I enjoyed the film. I was very surprised at how well Jordan Crowder acted. Well done!!

I loved the scene at the end after the credits about the ticket.

  • @Spo0kyCoW Thanks for the compliment, acting has always been my first passion. So glad you stuck around for that scene at the end!

  • Honestly, I felt like I could relate to all of these characters. I absolutely loved LOVED the realism. I feel their pain. So much like my life.

  • @GoblinJumperCables That really means a lot to me, I strive for realism and character development above all things. Do you have any friends who are like these Characters?

  • too real, Decent acting, script was a little repetative, but that is gritty. I like the reality within this film. you got my thumbs!

  • @Lukester132 Thanks!

  • just watched entire movie. loved it. lol'd hard when steven dialed up his sister

  • @bsharker Steven gets all the laughs! Haha.

  • bromance at the end LOL

  • @himselffd Isn't the whole thing a bromance? haha.

  • @JordanCrowderFilms true true i loved the movie though man

  • Jordan, great film!! :)

  • @davidsipos Thanks so much!

  • Did you guys collor correct and color grade this? or is this all plain shooting. cuz if so. you guys did awesome. this was very entertaining.

  • @socialinsecurity3 Thanks so much, some of it was color corrected, but only minor fixes, most of what you see is how it was shot.

  • Is Steven wearing a McDonald Cartier Hawks gym shirt? Awesome... Love how Steven's scenes end with random jokes

  • @markhodge65 I think it's a Vanier tshirt.

  • I really enjoyed watching this movie! You guys did a really good job with all the acting and editting. It was an awesome movie!

  • @LM1viola I appreciate it, thanks!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms you're very welcome! i really love your videos and steven's videos, too! keep making `em!!! :D

  • Great job! Though I wish it had a little less Steven Crowder nude & half nude scenes, like 0.

I would have suggested to Blake, "Why not rub your eye for an hour and pretend you got in a fight?"

My only criticism is I wish you shot a scene closing the Blake, Haley & Andrew story plotline. I was a bit surprised Andrew was at the New Years party and didn't have a problem with Blake.

  • @conservative608 You know how friends are! Haha.

  • outta curiousity, is this big idea any relation to Veggie tales big idea?

  • @meghankathleen222 yes! i'm not the only one who thought that!

  • @LM1viola lol glad someone else saw that too. It shows though I love my veggies way too much lol. I don't have kids so my only excuse is my family knows Mike and Phil personally bc my aunt owned a Christian book store in Chicago, and before they were really popular in like 93 they used to go to christian stores and try to sell their movies there. My aunt saw the promise in it. She got us hooked from the1st movie, she gave it to us and we loved them ever since lol. They're even on my ipod. :P

  • @meghankathleen222 Oh, my gosh! I have them on my iPod, too!!!

  • @LM1viola lmbo (bum) Glad I am not alone. I thought I was the only one. :P

  • @meghankathleen222 me too!

  • @LM1viola :)

  • @meghankathleen222 No relation! Big Ideas was the name of a short film I made previously about two guys trying to make a movie... It eventually became the name of our production company.

  • Congratulations! It's evident that the movie was done very carefully, professionally as dealing with universal feelings and criticizing local issues. I confess that, although I don't share your political views, I really enjoyed the movie. It's entertaining and yet reflexive, and, most importantly, it's honest. I liked everything: the plot, the esthetics, the soundtrack. It's just a really good movie, in my opinion. Definitely recomending to my friends. Keep it up, you've got talent! :D

  • @taticocteau Thanks so much! Keep telling your friends.

  • Steven's face at 2:33...lol

  • This is fantastic.

  • @DaydreamPictures1 You're fantastic!

  • Wow Jordan this was so awesome!! You and your bro are some incredibly talented guys :)

  • @hzange01 Thank you :)

  • "Charlie Sheen is a loser." This movie is SO timely.

BTW most Canadians are pro global warming, as in, we wish it was getting warmer.

  • @XCritonX Haha, amen to that.

  • Good show. I watched 15 minutes of it a few days ago and just watched the rest of it.

    Pluto for the win!

Plus I never liked U2 and I think Harrison Fraud totally lost his mind at some point.

  • @sickofcommies Glad to see someone else shares a U2 hatred!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms I even hate The Edge. :D

  • Good job all!!

  • Great job! Really enjoyed the film! Hope you have much success with it. An added bonus was how you threw in some conservative truths/values. It was a nice change from cringing thru hollywood films while they always try to brainwash.

  • @ImNotCrazystudios Thanks so much! I'm never really concerned with pushing a message with my films, but I do let me beliefs show through in the same flippant ways Hollywood filmmakers do. I just don't believe the same wacko things they do.

  • Silly Canadians. When you see somebody that likes U2, you punch them until they stop liking U2. No exceptions.

  • @nofalltoofar Good idea!

  • I NEED A SEQUEL!!!!! And the soundtrack!

I loved it and it was well worth the wait. Can't wait to see extras! :)

  • @amycee818 I was thinking of posting a flash player to the site with some of the music... but mostly everything is by my friend's band "The Gougers." Unfortunately they have disbanded, but their music is awesome!

  • Great job!! Happy it came together so well, hope it was what you expected.

  • @jul474747 Thanks so much!

  • Your bro posted this on big hollywood, thus why i'm here :D

Quick question, what kind of camera DID you use?

  • soooooooo awesome man but wont lie ur brother is the the star of the movie ahaha soooo but ur still badass to bro

  • Over all I enjoyed it. Felt like a ton of effort was put into it.

One little critique though. The opening diner conversation felt rather Tarantino wannabe. The way the movie opened up with no music and cut straight to friends eaiting at a diner and having a regular conversation. It probably would've helped to shake it up a little to make it feel a bit different. But other than that, well done.

  • @imagineerboi Funny, we're actually not big fans of Quentin Tarantino. The opening scene was actually a tribute to one of our favorite Barry Levinson films "Diner." You should check it out, it's awesome! Not to mention it came out about 20 years earlier than anything by Tarantino. Of course, Woody Allen, Ed Burns, Robert Altman and John Cassavetes were all big influences on the film as well. Thanks for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • "its very liberating!"

  • @gkunkle9 It is! Have you tried it?

  • Fantastic!

  • @starsngarders Thanks so much!

  • haha love the mcdonald cartier hawks gym shirt on steven hahah

  • Brilliant!

  • @VaITGuy757 Nah

  • so has Charlie Sheen always been a slut?

  • @ryanstewart86 Since birth!

  • Loved it.

  • @StavrosC I'm glad you did!

  • I liked it! What does the title mean in reference to the storyline exactly?

  • @electricskillet What do you think it means?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms one would assume its a sexual reference, i.e bend your cock and break it off.

  • @JordanCrowderFilms My best guess would have to be that it stems from the stress of relationships, how they start and end without warning at times and the pain it causes. Am I close? =)

  • Good job to everyone involved. It was definitely worth the wait to finally see it!

  • @mikeblondin Thanks Mike! Sorry it took a while!

  • "Hay... Lee... Not bad... I still got it." =D

  • Steven's wardrobe changed in between first diner booth scene and second diner booth scene.... Just sayin'. ;)

  • "it's a very liberating experience going to the bathroom without your clothes on..." hahaha...I'm not convinced Steven was actually taking a crap. need to work on those acting skills..(kidding!) haha

I enjoyed it! Thanks for making it accessible to everyone!

  • "0:10:03" what do I do with that" hahaha...very smooth haha...cool film man. Big fan you guys.

  • Great film so far, but I have to ask you who mixed your audio? I hope this isn't out on DVD yet, as there are LOTS of audio issues (sound too quiet, LOTS of hiss etc). Just thought you ought to know these problems exist.

    :-)

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Cool - I knew the "way" to download this from YouTube years ago :-). I just want to share with close friends and family - I'm not into spreading stuff worldwide, and tbh I couldn't face all the time/effort/bandwidth to do so haha!

  • Who would have thought the Charlie Sheen jab would pay off so many years later. Good timing.

  • @johnggoodman Haha, that was even dated when we did it the first time around... haha. Everyone should Tweet it to Charlie Sheen!

  • @BendAndBreakFilm Sorry accidentally voted this down. Fail. :$

  • Don't get me wrong, I am a huge fan and am super stoked on your videos whenever they come out, but I am 10 minutes into this and have been forcing myself to watch for the last 6. It feels unnatural. Like you guys are reading off a sheet. Again, I am definitely a fan, but you guys are not ready for this sort of film making, and I honestly feel you would have a much more significant impact (not to mention the viral factor) by putting the same time and effort into a feature length documentary.

  • @Skapo :-/

  • Man, HOW long have we been waiting? I hope it lives up to the expectations, you know, the ones I don't have, as they ruin films ^_^

  • @unlokia Hope you enjoy it! Let me know what your favorite part was!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Is this downloadble?...

  • @unlokia Not at the moment, maybe eventually... and a DVD too!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms I'm not a "pirate", but there may be a way to download this... if I found it, would you be okay with that? My brother has a clunky old G4 eMac and YouTube stutters like mad - VLC is his only choice for movies...

  • Apart from DVDs too, LOL! ^_^

  • Great Movie!! Didn't watch it all the way through yet, but, I'm planning on finishing it soon. Great job!

  • @MaxIzCoolerThanYou Please come back and finish it! Thanks so much!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Just finished! Great job! I could tell you all trying really hard on this and it payed off. I think this is the first film ever where I actually wanted to watch the credits. Worst part: Sound was muffled and a little too quiet and wasn't synced at parts. Best Part: the music was great and matched the mood throughout the entire movie. but still, once again, it was a little muffled at parts as stated earlier. All and all, great job and I hope to see another short film soon!

  • I LOVE THE FINAL PRODUCT!!! You are a very talented producer slash actor slash filmaker slash director slash director slash on screen fling ;)

  • @cintapouwele Aw, thanks Cindy, couldn't have happened without the cast!

  • omigosh....great job, sat through the whole thing!! i love it lol Haley's character was me fav lol

What was your favourite part of making this film?

  • @moccamex Haha, Haley was manipulative little b... well, you know. My favorite part was getting to hang out with my friends in Montreal, the comradery (is that a word) was a lot of fun. We'll all remember those crazy shooting days!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Cool! lol sounds like fun!!! ^-^ (i wish i had the amazingnessness u have with making films lol but i think i'm more of a screenplay writer)

  • @moccamex Awesome! Been writing anything lately?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms omigosh yeah actually i had written a contemporary Shaskespeare for Julius Caesar ^_^

  • @moccamex That's awesome! My fiance loves Shakespeare, maybe she can act in it when you get it made!

  • @JordanCrowderFilms awww omigosh cool!!! thanks toats!!! yaayy she will definaely have a reserved spot in auditions ^_^

  • Congrats Jordan!! Great film!!

  • @scifiak Thanks! Did you watch the whole thing? What was your favorite part?

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Actually, I was commenting on what I had seen. But after finishing it, I thought it was great! There was not a moment that I wasn't interested. It was a good story line. I thought that "Blake" was such funny ass! Having seen other flicks you came out with, I have to say, that your acting was fantastic in this movie, I think it's your best yet. I felt a little bad when it didn't work out with the girls, but it turned good when "Bryce" decided to move on and move to Texas

  • @JordanCrowderFilms Thank you for the early premiere! I toatlly enjoyed it, and I'm looking forward to another one. ;)

  • I'm glad this is finally online :)

  • @jeremyquas Me too! It's been a long road, but it's finally found its home! Haha.

  • Thanks for taking the time to do so!

  • Thanks I'm watching it now, I'm sure it will be great!

  • Hello everyone! Thanks for watching my first feature film! I know it's not perfect, but I had fun making it. Please feel free to leave your comments or questions and I will be happy to answer them!
