I flew up there from Melbourne in a C172 in April 2008. What a great strip. I'll upload my video soon. The people there were fantastic. We stayed in Airlie Beach Hotel. Will fly there again one day.

Excellent vid mate! Very nice footage of landing at one of Australia's "tighter" bush airport's. We flew in there five days after you uploaded this on June 19, right at sundown in a Piper Archer. Lovely place with a very friendly and professional staff. We stayed at the FlameTree Tourist Village caravan park, right behind the hangers on the north end, right side. Only time we have ever been able to walk from our plane to our motel room in just two minutes. Great Place, Loved It!!!
