I'm in the orchestra pit for this play at my school. I'm playing the first trumpet part. Amazingly enough, I'm only a freshman.

Needless to say, I bet it's rather entertaining watching me try to reach notes 2+ ledger lines above the staff. Also, the key signatures are having me circle practically every single note on the page.

But man, is it fun.

My school is doing this play too this year, and let me say just two things. I love this song, but I HATE our saloon set. The thing is so huge and heavy. Makes it a little hard to enjoy the song after having to recover from moving it.

i was in the pit when my school did curtains last year. the music was really good, even though i had a very small part (clarinet part in the Woodwinds 1 book. i only played in six songs, but i loved just listening to some of the other songs cause they are really good.)

My high school did this last year.. I played the complete book for Clarinet, Alto, and Soprano sax and after 3 years of playing the difficult classical music from composers like Holst, McBeth, and Holsinger, as well as 4 years of playing somewhat difficult jazz charts this musical was hands down the most difficult music I have EVER played.

I absolutely love this musical and the soundtrack is so amazing and funny. A town next to us did this musical and I fell in love with it, I wished I auditioned for it. The script is BRILLIANT!

my absolute favorite. We did this at my school and my friend and I were working in the crews. I was in Lighting so I saw this about 100 times and my friend and I memorized the dance X]

She used to be a dancer, and the only reason i cant do shows anymore is because of sports, so we have fun keeping up with the dancers who have trained for months at it while we pick it up within a practice session.
