Im sure you have heard this before but I think that your slap attacks are way too explosive. Very good song! I cant even even go through the first few bars on this song. Keep up the good work!
@thenetslug Yeah, you are right. I simply didn't know how Hedges did some effects with his left hand. Then I bought the score from stropes where all the tricks are described. Maybe you want to check out my newer live version, I left out the loud rasgueados there. I posted it as a video answer to this.
absolutely awesome!! i've just been getting into this style of playing, i discovered andy mckee about 2 months ago and have been learning loads of his stuff like drifting, but this song is awesome!! I'm desperate to learn it.. how did you figure it out? is there anywhere you can get tabs?
I regularly read your column in Akustik-Gitarre, and now I have been watching some of your videos on YouTube. It's awesome, and your interpretation of Ragamuffin is just fantastic. Hope to be in your class with Mediterranean Music School one day.
Dear, the guitar is a good one, the amp is a good one, the song is a good one, the record is a good one and the player is a very, very good one. There is indeed an explosive component in this music but it's the very personality of the guitar player.
I could listen to this music for hours. Thanks and my greatest congratulations!
Hi Peter ...I don't even know this song but have been in awe of your Who stuff. I have to say THIS is fantastic to watch and listen too though. You interpretations are an inspiration to us lesser talented guitar players. :-)
Thanks so much! This incredible tune stays a challenge. You might want to check out Aerial Boundaries by Michael Hedges. There's a video where he's playing somewhere in the garden. Amazing.
For this piece I used a Taylor 614CE plugged into an AER Acousticube 2a. I'm always using reverb program 30. The signal was picked up by a condenser microphone (Rode NT2) and fed into my soundcard. No effects other than reverb. Greetings
I don't care about comparing your rendition to the original. Hedges was a genious and one of the guitar heroes who changed the way the way we all look at the instrument today. It is clear that you enjoy playing his music, good work and keep it up.
You are cordially invited to watch my videos, I am an acoustic guitar player from Chile and a big fan Hedges too.
wow good job. I wonder if i will be able to cacth the essense of this song. you came close. i mean u played it perfect but missed the essence. i will say this is 5 star and the best on u tube. very very well done
Amazing cover man! Ragamuffin is in the most simplest tuning by Michael Hedges & you play it with such ease & btw, the quality is excellent, I'll now learn this piece by watching this video :D

Nice cover. I used to do sound for Michael when he played in Baltimore, and I heard this one a lot. Nice that you picked it up. Peace.

Great playing dude! You should perhaps make it sounding a little funkier, in my opinion... but this is a fine rendition.

This version is great because of the effects. The playing plus the effects is FANTASTIC. You gotta tell me what your gear is, Peter.

I guess you have the theory right, but it didn't sound anythign like the real one. You are too aggressive, MH was a hip, remember that.

please don't refer to yourself as the Hedges of Youtube, it's insulting.
Your videos don't compare to Hedges in any way.
Hedges was and still is the Hedges of YouTube even if he's not with us.
