Hi Mike great channel , cheers I learned this one from you , but I'm also lost when it comes to the outro , I can pick out the bass notes but cant make out the right hand . Any suggestions would be much appreciated thanks .
Agree with Kim about opening chord. Second chord could be similar, like a stripped down 6th chord. Elton likes to put a twist on his chords. Fourth chord a sixth chord too (no 5th).
A wonderful job - and a wonderful song! However - the first chord is Cb∆ with Eb in the bass. More correctly Elton is actually playing a Cb without the third, letting the bass do the third and the melody-line (...Hello) doing the Bb, so the first chord is getting a very unique sound. Just thought you might like to know:) Peace!
@BJ22PIANO C# and F# are more common, but this piece is in Eb minor, so you get the flats. The reason is the commonly raised tones in minor. If it were F# or Gb major, F# would be preferred, but with Eb or D# minor Eb is preferred because the raised leading tone in D# minor would be a Cx (C double sharp,) an uncommon, annoying-to-read note, so would other notes borrowed from the major mode as D# major is a crazy sharp key. It's really a choice uncommon flats or rare double sharps, so flats it is
wow....... .i been wanting this songs for long time..........mike thanks so much..........glad i decided to search and see if it was out yet.......mike was there more to the song ..look like that was all the chords.wasn't sure what you mention at end.i cannot wait to start learning song with holiday break form school up coming.
Your piano sounds excellent. Is it more less a keyboard equivalent to the casio previa? Once again you are very darn good and your videos are highly thankful. And your singing isn't bad when you get to your second voice(A quote from Barry Gibb) Thanks
my god your amazing, i watched almost all of your videos, thank you very much for sharing!

Very good, but I was mostly curious about the jazzy chords he plays over the outro when he repeats the line Harmony.
