To me, the ability to correct is the mark of someone who is really in touch with his own vocal abilities-who can course correct on the fly. When you hear different renditions of the same song back to back, he makes them fresh each time-and you catch all the nuances that only this man can bring to a performance. He never, ever phoned it in!

I don't know if it's true but I was told that Steve had the flu while doing these two concerts. He does look very tired, but his voice never lets him down! This is why he is called "The Voice" and "One in a Million". Many singers have imitated him but Steve Perry is the only person who can sing Journey songs the way they SHOULD be sung!

Steve was known as 'The Voice' not 'A Voice'. He sung every song with such emotion and such amazing vocals and had great song writing abilities also.He is the reason why Journey had the success that they did because before Steve Journey could not get played on the radio. To deny that fact is crazy to me.For me also no one can or will ever replace Steve.He gave Journey hit song/hit albums. Journey doesn't get radio play in New Zealand where i live like the band used to when Steve was lead singer.
