  • No offence but the female to me doesnt sing so well.

  • @MultiAriana101 I actually agree with you. I'm not a big fan of this entire version, but I thought it could be fun to translate the lyrics. A good way to practise Spanish at least. ;P

  • nice translation, just a little mistake :P

"voy volando contigo hacia un nuevo amanecer" means "im flying with you to a new dawn" ^^

  • That is teh version I've beeen looking for! In my opinion is the best <3 Greetings from Poland :)

  • I use to have a flying magic carpet but then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • ME GUSTA.

  • I think that in this version, they sound more like the original English singers (even more so than the Latin American one).

  • I dont like this version so much.. Their voices arent the best ones and they sing so slow and quiet way:0 But I like spanish language;)

  • this is one spanish version i dont like and i think its becuase of the phrase mundo ideal.

  • english & spanish I think have a lot same words!!

  • I prefer english version, but I like more the spanish voice.

Your translation is not all good, but fairly accurate!!

  • im going to get "llevame a donde suenes tu" @1:55 tattooed on me. its so beautiful. so it is for sure european spanish? idc either way, id just like to know for sure thats what its saying lol

  • @birdy369 I know, that line is simply beautiful, especially Aladdin's voice. I'm from Spain so I can tell you. Yes, this is European Spanish. And that's what it says, "llévame adonde sueñes tú" although I'd translate it as "take me wherever you dream of". But that's just my personal translation. :)

  • Thank you SOOO much for offering the translation of the spanish version to english. I love seeing how they change things to make the song work better in another language. Major thank you for going the extra mile!

  • does anyone know where I can download this version rather than the spanish version that sounds like the Peabo one? I want the movie version..this exact one.. all the places i find have the spanish slower adaption

  • is this the European Spanish or the Latin American version?

  • @BChoung94 european spanish

  • @coolgurl739 thank you

  • @BChoung94 European

  • Omg that is soo cute!!!

  • I LOVE this version, Aladdin's voice is so so sexy and I prefer this version than the one from Latin America (I'm from Colombia)

  • i miss the old days :( Childhood memories

  • I like more the Latin spanish version.

  • The Spanish lyrics are so beautiful! I like them better than the English ones

  • Español es bonito. Me gusta la versión.

I hope my spanish is not so bad :P

  • I really love this version! ♥♥

  • español de españa es una verga. mas feo idimoa.

    ¡vamos argentino!

  • I Love Spanish :) the best language!!! I´m from Germany :D

  • When he said "Oh no..." I laughed. He sounds so cute and distressed. xD

  • aladdin was the best disney movie that was translated so he sounded great in a lot of the languages

  • me gusta mas la letra de esta version que la latino americana. (incluso juraba que era esta la que se daba en latino am,erica)

  • This is the Spainiard version. The Mexican version is much better!

  • They don't sound Latin American. They sound Spanish.

  • This is so sexy...

  • fabulosa visión...sentimiento divino...estupendo :)

  • i don't really like this version, especiallyy jasmine's voice :( for me, the better one is still the french one :) (of course, that's my language ;D)

  • i dont really like jasmines voice in this version

  • So so sweet..tan tan dulce...

  • best one

  • I don't know; the French version sounded awful to me; this is my favorite one by far (but who can beat the English one; am I right?).

  • @Hammergunshipping I think the exact opposite :P

  • @Hammergunshipping I think the Swedish one can :D

  • @TheMiSsBaBeX I don't think so. Maaaaaaaaybe the one in Italian...and this one, sorta; both stand the best chance. But I still have to stick with the English one.

  • @Hammergunshipping Okej :D that's what you think :)

  • It makes me sad to see that most people don't like this version.

I really love it, both the lyrics and the voices (I think Jasmine sounds cute and Aladdin sounds hot XD), and for me, this version is full of magic *_* So thank you for uploading it, and take the time to write the English translation. You did a good job!

  • @Stellairisel Thank you so much!

  • Is the accent Spain or Latin America? I know the lyrics are European Spanish but the guy sounds like he is from Latin America

  • @Bdawg9891 Is spanish accent. The guy who sing is from Spain.

  • Comment removed

  • sorry, i don't speak very english xD

  • is the european spanish, please, say this, because the latin spanish is better than this.

  • @StephanVideos Yup, it is the European version. And yes... pretty much everything is better than this... :P

  • @ilargitxo2 Well, I think that just because someone doesn't like a certain song it shouldn't stop him/her from sharing it; there might be others who really like it :) And besides, I do like the lyrics in this version. Also, it's a good way to practice on my Spanish ;P

  • Comment removed

  • @ilargitxo2 Okaaay... where are the lyrics wrong?

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @ilargitxo2 So, I wrote everything pretty much exactly the way you say it's supposed to be. Sure, I'm not Spanish, but I would never translate a song on the internet if I didn't know what the lyrics said. And besides, if you were to ask ten people to translate a song for you they would all translate it differently. If not the entire lyrics, then at some parts. I think it's quite unnecessary of you to comment on small, minor things; like the way I decide to formulate a sentence.

  • @ilargitxo2 Eeeehm....... say what now? Where in the world did I say that "un mundo ideal" is "a fantastic world"?? If you look at the lyrics in the video you'll see it clearly says "an IDEAL world". Read before you comment. And I DID write "fabulous view", although I did however make it plural (the same goes for "divine feelings", but that's just becuse it sounded better in English. And "leave it to your heart to dream" MEANS "leave your heart to dream". Go find an English dictionary.

  • Comment removed

  • @ilargitxo2 I've never called you an idiot, so that wasn't really all that nice of you... You are right, I did write "fantastic" instead of "ideal" at one place, and I'm sorry for that. You could however have pointed that out nicely, since I've written "ideal" everywhere else and obviously knows it's supposed to be "ideal". I've got no idea why I wrote "fantastic" at 1.31 :S Strange :P Let's say I was too tired ;) And about allí and hay, you are right, those aren't minor things....

  • @sharkshrimp .... but many of the other things you commented on were. I will definitely change that :) I'm just gonna figure out how ;P I just copied these lyrics off of the internet, so yeah :P Well, let's just say that we were both right and we were both wrong. I don't like arguing with people, so let's just forget about this now :) What do you say?

So, "Hi, my name is Nathalie, it's nice to meet you :)".

  • @sharkshrimp Ya sorry to have called you idiot. I should have called you that I'm sorry. And no they were not big mistakes just minor ones and about the "fantastic" thing it is ok you wrote it right the other times so yes it was suposed to be ideal like the other and I eevrbody could have suposed that, really , sorry I guess I had a bad day, no excuse though.t

  • @sharkshrimp "And yes... pretty much everything is better than this... "

How can you be so bad?? I mean this version is really nice and their voices sounds really good, sweet and nice they are great singers with really beautiful voices.

Why you don't like it and why you post it if you don't like it? It is not nice of you to say this is not nice.

  • @ilargitxo2 You've already commented on that and I've already answered, but okay :P I made a smiley after that statement (a ":P), I was trying to be a bit funny, but I guess it wasn't. Like I said earlier, just because I don't like something doesn't mean I hate it, so why not translate the song? There might be others who like it :) And like I said earlier, too: I like the lyrics in this version :) All I said was I didn't like this particular version, I wasn't mean to an individual person (1/2)

  • @ilargitxo2 You've already commented on that and I've already answered, but okay :P I made a smiley after that statement (a ":P), I was trying to be a bit funny, but I guess it wasn't. • @ilargitxo2 Everyone doesn't have the same taste (thank goodness for that), but I guess I could've written it a bit nicer - sorry. =) I think it's good that people can post something they don't like themselves. Like I said, someone else might like it. And to answer why I don't like it, it's because I think Ángela Aloy doesn't sing from her stomach... there's no power to her voice. But the lyrics and all are nice :) But again, I'm sorry for not putting it nicer, I'll do that next time ;)

  • Lol I don't like this version. Aladdin sound really creepy at the beginning like he's getting ready to rape her or something. DX

  • hmm, spanish from spain. better if the guy who sang Aladdin's part would've been from LAtin America. i think they should've gotten voices that fit the charactors better. Jasmine's voice is too soft and light. i do like this song tho, and although Spanish and ENglish are my native languages, French is the best i've heard so far. and now, onward to german!

  • aladdin sounds like a pervert

pity... it is a beautifull song

  • hebrew version rules !! yeahy !!! =)

  • I am from Venezuela, and I like the Latin American Spanish version better.

Castillian spanish, when spoken by a spaniard makes them sound like fags from where I'm from.

  • yuck!!! i like the french version MUCH better

  • @dogwhisperer777 I agree completely with you. French is definitely on my top five of all the versions of this song. Spanish isn't even on my top ten...

  • Ha ha! Aladdin sounds so pervy in this verision! like a rapist or something! like 'do you want to come home to my place and pet my kittens, I also have candy, and some icecream in the fridge' lol lol lol maybe all spanish men sounds like that I don't know i've never been to spain!!

  • i love this version! italian version it's great too. ( i'm italian)

  • i like the russian much more

    check it out

  • Me too. Russian is amongst my top three.

The Spanish version isn't even on my top ten :P

I can't stand Jasmine's voice. She sounds sooo tired... as if she's about to fall a sleep up there on the carpet. She puts no emotion in to her singing, it's like she's just trying to sound beautiful than to sing from her stomach. Ew.

  • Love this version! Aladdin's voice is just ... *_*

  • It's so pretty in spanish (:

  • precioso en español,es una de esas canciones que emocionan a cualquiera, gracias por subirlo....creo que la letra en castellano es mas bonito que la inglesa....

  • i would have translated 'los dos' inthat instance as 'us'

  • Yea, normally I would've done that too. But when I translate songs here on YouTube (even Swedish songs) I always try to make it as accurate to the song I'm translating as possible. And since they're not singing "para nos" and you actually can say "for two" in English, I decided to go with the latter (even though it might sound better with "us" in English, but that's the fascinating thing with languages).

  • Haha, ps: "para nos"? :P I think I meant "para nosotras" ;P

(Because it is "para nosotras" and not "para nos", right? :P I think I've heard both, so I'm not completely sure which one is correct :P).

  • Pretty sure it's para nosotros because a male is present.

  • Yea, you're right, my mistske. Didn't think about that when I wrote the comment. Anywaaay, the point was whether or not it's "para NOS" or "para NOSOTROS" (not para nosotras, nosotros). Do you know..?

  • Pretty sure it's "para nosotros" because "nos" is used for reflexive verbs. The way "nos" is used for ownership would be like "nos manzanas" - "our apples". Take this with a grain of salt; I'm not a native speaker haha

  • Okay, I will ;P

Isn't "nos" used as direct object though? As in "Ella nos ayuda"..? I don't know, perhaps it can be used as both, but I'm sure it's a direct object in many cases.

I'm pretty sure it's "nuestras manzanas" and not "nos manzanas". I'm studying Spanish at a universiy level, but I've forgotten the basics :P That's the problem :P :P

Thank you for the help though :)

  • BRAIN FART, my bad. Yes, it is "nuestras manzanas," and yeah, it's used for direct objects or whatever. However, I'm still pretty sure it's "para nosotros" haha.

  • Okay, thanks =)

  • It can't be helped! When an Italian like me hears speking in Spanish ends up smiling. It seems a strange Italian dialect. Of course, the same could be sayed for a Spanish people hearing Italian...

  • Comment removed

  • yes, it's the same in italy!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • oh..well, Spain is one of the countries that i want to visit as soon as possible...and i agree with you when you say that spanish and italian people are very similar...we are such a "warm" population and i think the same about spanish people!! ;)

  • no offend spanish peaople , but latin america version sounds better

  • @sharkshrimp oh my gosh i'm not stupid at all if you read my comment which i highly doubt you did little misunderstanding twit ok shut up your annoying me you don't know me leave me be

  • umm you messed up the lyrics for American hugely but that's ok if you need the actual English to post on the description isntead let me know :-)

  • Hahaha, are you for real? Why would I need the English lyrics? (Which I already know by heart, who doesn't? :S).

THESE ARE NOT THE ENGLISH LYRICS, THEY'RE THE SPANISH LYRICS TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH. Gosh, how hard can it be?!

  • @sharkshrimp you realize the english translation is wrong completley though

  • What? Can you give me an example of where? Like i.e. "yo te quiero enseñar" = "I want to show you". So... how can the English translation be wrong completely? Again, they're not the actual English lyrics, they're the Spanish lyrics in English.

  • @sharkshrimp i think the problem is for Spanish the lyrics are different cuz the lyrics for English like the example for the beginning would be "I can show you the world, shining shimmering splendid tell me princess now when did you last let your heart decide"-so i guess you got that right but to know the real english then find an english video of the song :-)

  • what is your problem :( your being mean to me for no reason, it is just that the lyrics your put there are completely WRONG! sorry but it is true, so dont yell at me when im the one who is right.

  • A whole new world

A new fantastic point of view

No one to tell us no

    Or where to go

    Or say we're only dreaming

    A whole new world

A dazzling place I never knew

But, now, from way up here

    It's crystal clear

That now I'm in a whole new world with you

  • Comment removed

  • Unbelievable sights Indescribable feeling Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling Through an endless diamond sky A whole new world (Don't you dare close your eyes) A hundred thousand things to see (Hold your breath it gets better) I'm like a shooting star I've come so far I can't go back to where I used to be
  • A whole new world

    With new horizons to pursue

    I'll chase them aywhere

    There's time to spare

Let me share this whole new world with you

    A whole new world

A new fantastic point of view

No one to tell us no

    Or where to go

    Or say we're only dreaming

  • A whole new world (Every turn a surprise) With new horizons to purue (Every moment red-letter) I'll chase them anywhere There's time to spare Anywhere, there's time to spare Let me share this whole new world with you A whole new world That's where we'll be A thrilling chase A wondrous place For you and me
  • that is so not the lyrics!

  • Dude wtf?! Where does it say those are the English lyrics? They're the SPANISH lyrics translated into English. Stupid. Why the fck would I post the English lyrics when the song's in Spanish.

(Ok, sry if I sound mean, but that comment was just so stupid and I'm home sick with the influenza, so yea, pretty much everything bugs me right now :P)

  • Congratulations, i'm spanish, and i speak english too, and i can tell you its a very accurate translation.

The only thing i would change is this:

Para los dos= For both, instead for two, for two sounds weird.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Thank you :)

You can actually say "for two" (I'm skyping with my friend in the US right now, so I dubbel checked with her ;P). "Para los dos" alone might sound better translated to "for both", but in the sentence "a world for both" versus "a world for two" I think the latter one sounds better. Unless of course it would be "a world for both of us".

  • Cause when you say "a world for both" it sounds, in my opinion, like you're talking about two other (specific) people (that is, you're not included), but if you say "for two" it sounds like you're talking about any two people in the world :P But I guess it's just what you're used to, cause I guess you can say both :)

Unless of course you meant that "para los dos" means "the both of us/the two of us" :P Cause I know my Spanish isn't awesome :P

  • Yeah it's right, never said it was wrong, it just doesn't sound good to me, a matter of personal preference, and prolly its better as you did.

Never told you to change it.

Well you need at least a decent level of spanish in order to translate this song, you learnt spanish in school or by yourself?

  • In school :) But when I first started with Spanish, I had taken French for six years, so it kinda made it easier to learn :)

Do you speak any other languages?

  • I just speak english and spanish atm, some years ago i knew some french too...

I want to learn german or french, i haven't decided yet, maybe german because i think it's more similar to english.

  • if you know english and spanish, French is the easiest you can learn!

I speak english and french, and a bit of spanish!

  • I agree. French is probably easier to learn if you already know Spanish. When I started taking Spanish four years ago I spoke English fluently and had taken French for six years, and I still thought Spanish was easier to learn than German (and German is more similar to Swedish, I think, than English). So go for Spanish if you want it to be a bit easier :) Or maybe both :D

  • Not really,i can speak german, spanish and english..and its still difficult for me to learn french at school..=S!

  • "hacia un nuevo amanecer" = "to a new sunrise" not "i created a new light" that statement makes no sense

  • Yea, I know, someone has already told me that :P I thought "it created a new light" sounded really strange too, but I couldn't figure out what "hacia un nuevo amanecer" meant otherwise, and that was the closest I could get :P My Spanish isn't super good :P Thanks for letting me know the error though =) I'll change it right away!

  • dude it does not say an ideal world! its a whole new world! gawd who doesnt know that?

  • In SPANISH it says "an ideal world", and these are the SPANISH lyrics translated into English. So what if it says "a whole new world" in English, but these are the Spanish lyrics. In Swedish it also says "a whole new world", and in French it's "this blue dream", but, again, these are the Spanish lyrics translated into English =)

  • muy bonito; con un poco de humor y dulzura por usar el video para la traduccion.. me agrado mucho..

  • mejor que la version latina xq esta tiene rima

  • Si me permites te diré que:"hacia un nuevo amanecer" esta mal traducido xD el "hacia" no se refiere al verbo "hacer" sino "en dirección a". ^^

  • Oh, okay. No lo sabía. Gracias por decirmelo!

    :)

  • speaking english, french, german, japanese and russian, i dont think that russian is given enough of a chance..its really very beautiful...and this song is lovely in russian

  • I, too, think this song's lovely in Russian.

    And so are the lyrics.

  • Jeez, stop bragging! It's so lame.

BTW I agree, Russian IS beautiful :)

  • Was that bragging-comment directed at me..?

    :)

  • Of course not, I ment crowe121 with his or her extraordinary language skills that the whole world needs to learn about :) I really don't get the "reply" function here...

And as for you, I think you're cool - and I truly appreciate your work :)

  • Sweet sweet sweet!!!

  • :D

    omg so cute.

  • what i mean is the boy singer is better

  • The latin american spanish version is better in my opinion

  • Aladdin's voice in this one sounds really nasally when he says Un mundo ideal.

  • wow this translation is really accurate :)

  • an ideal world? well how bout that!

  • Well I'm French and I don't think Frenc is "the most beautiful language in the world" don't get me wrong I love my language, but I'm not that chauvnistic about it. I think Spanish is just as beautiful!

  • yes we all speak romance languages. all romance languages are beautiful in some way.

  • thats soo sweet of you,, u have worked hard,, thanks,, and its also helping me learning spanish,, thanks :)

  • Yay, I'm glad this could help someone.

How long have you been learning Spanish? =)

  • the translation you have given into english from spanish is not the same as the translation for the actual english version is that always the case for spanish that it doesnt translate directly? for example a whole new world- and ideal world

  • Well OF COURSE you can't translate a song driectly :S How wold that be possible? :P There are so many things you have to think about, like the melody, for instance. "A whole new world" is in Spanish "Un nuevo mundo", which wouldn't work with the melody at all. No country in the world translate songs directly... :S How can you have missed that? :P

  • For instance the Swedish version; instead of "I can open your eyes" ("jag kan öppna dina ögon") they sing "I can teach you to see" ("jag kan lära dig se"), because "I can open your eyes" doesn't fit the melody AT ALL. And then every country of course has its own way when it comes to expressions. Like the Danish version - instead of singing "a whole new world" they sing "a whole new life", because in Danish it sounds way better with "life" than "world".

  • not always some phraaes and words translate directly and are usedi n songs not all of us are proficient in the spanish language sharkshrimp so dont treat me like an idiot

  • Well, there is of course no reason to NOT direct translate the few phrases and/or words that actually CAN be translated directly. But there isn't an entire song that is translated directly all the way through. And that has nothing to do with whether or not you're proficient at Spanish.

Sorry, I didn't mean at all to seem superior or treat you like an idiot. Not my intention at all, sorry if you got offended =)

  • its ok not problem :) sorry i didnt meant to sound rude with you.

i didnt mean all the way though but these lyrics seem completely different to the english version its strange to see the different lyrics but i like it. :) you said something about the lyrics ( i think u said the direct translation to a whole new world wouldnt go with the melody) but what i meant was what if the words say for example mundo ideal didnt translate directly as an ideal world and still meant a whole new world

  • i think what im tryintg to say is that when u said that you cant translate directly because the spanish doesnt go with the lyrics, instead of altering the spanish translation there might be sometimes when a seemingly different spanish translation for example mundo ideal might translate to a whole new world rather than ideal world even though it doesnt seem to. im sure its not always the case and a lot of the time the language doesnt translate. :) thanks for uploading

  • Okay, then I understand what you meant :)

No, 'mundo ideal' just means 'ideal world' :)

  • My first language is English and I took Spanish for 6 years. Your translation was excellent, particularly matching the tenses.

  • Really? =) Thanks for telling me that :)

When I decided to translate this we hadn't gone through the second past tense (I've forgot what it's called now :P But in French it's called 'imparfait' :P), so I had to sorta guess on same (but since it's quite close to French grammar it wasn't too difficult).

Thanks again for telling me :)

  • It sounds like what we call "imperfect" or they call "imperfecto". At 1:27, "Hacia un neuvo amanecer" is the verb "hacer" in the imperfect. The past tense would have been "hizo".

  • Yea exactly, that's the one I'm talking about. Imperfecto. I know imperfecto now, but I didn't at the time. Well, I knew it a little from when I studied Spanish in Spain, but that was only for a week so :P

  • Nice translation sharkshrimp but i think you have made a mistake: at about 1.56 you put an accent on the donde when in fact in this instance it it not an interrogative word but a relative pronoun- relative pronouns don not carry accents in Spanish. I think i'm right but i could be wrond, please correct me if i'm wrong. Bye

  • this is the Spain version because they pronouce the "c's" and "z's" as "th"

(i'm mexican so thats why i know)

  • Who said it wasn't the Spain version? :P

  • i did 'cause you can clearly tell

  • ahh i have been learning spanish on and off for over 6 years now at school but i was never 100% dedicated but i know basic spanish but i would love to be able to speak it fluently.. does anyone have any tips? or recomended websites etc. xxxx :)

  • Well, I'd say that if you would love to learn Spanish, than you're already half way there. They key to learn a foreign language is motivation and passion. Some other things you can do is to practise the language a little bit every day. And also - watch movies in that language! And read books!

Hope it will go well for you =)

  • well sharkshrimp, you made a very good translation of the lyrics!and i can say it, because spanish is my mother tongue!hehe

to love2bi, i would recommend you, to first start learning spanish and not french, because(as sharkshrimp said) it is way much easier! but, i have to say that english and german are not that similar. they have a few words in common, but they are very different!(i also know that because german is my mother language too!hehe) well, i wish you good luck with your learning!

  • Thank you =)

And I agree with you, I don't find German and English similar either ;P

But if you'd compare it to for instance French, than English and German are more similar than English and French. But yea still, German and English - not really that alike ;P

  • say what??? german and spanish being your mother tongue??? lucky! do you think you can help me with my german?
