@1RadicalOne It is most unfortunate that you have never heard that song. The score for the original Superman movie was quite good. I highly encourage you to seek it out, as judging from the list, you are a John Williams fan. This is a nice list, though. I do like how Robocop is included. :)
Yeah i see. Oh Ive got a question. Ive been looking for the Twister score all over. Ive checked, several stores and couldnt find it. I cant seem to find it online eather, and i don't want to risk downloading some sort of virus for "Free"
Im assuming that you have digital files of them, could you send them in an email?
The only piece by Thomas Newman that I've heard and like is his score to "Pay it Forward", and even then, I feel it cannot compare with these. More, I had entirely forgotten about that film at the time of making and uploading all three versions of this.
I have a piece by James Newton Howard - though I don't remember which. I also have two of Elfman's pieces, the only one I can remember being "I, Robot", and that wasn't so good. I know the names John Powell and Patrick Doyle, but can't recall having any of their music.
Exactly. Well, to be honest, I do enjoy listening to them, but there are a LOT of similarities to other Hans Zimmer scores: the action music sounds like Batman Begins, and the Autobots theme has a similar chord progression to a theme from King Arthur.
But otherwise, a good list, rather heavy on Media Ventures but I like Media Ventures so no problem ;)
Granted, there are indeed similarities - Jablonsky worked for Zimmer for a time - but that in no way hinders musical elegance and beauty, but yes, it does cast a minor pall on the composer's reputation.
It should also be noted that Jablonsky's imitation - which is purely stylistical - pales in comparison to what James Horner appears to do, borrowing entire motifs from entirely unrelated composers. (I am not intending to "trash" Horner - his music is excellent - but this is indeed relevant.)
No kidding, though there are moments in Transformers where entire motifs are ripped off of earlier Zimmer scores. You might move me to Spam for this, but I did make a video of film music similarities that shows what scores Transformers is similar to. You might want to check it out!
I won't mark that as spam. Legitimate references or links to relevant videos are not spam. I'll check it out soon - I'm a bit busy with another program ("BAT") - at the moment.
You got a good taste

I have never heard that theme, and I suspect I would not like it enough to bump another score.

Hm a bit toooo much Hans Zimmer here, right?!
I like the Score from Jurassic Park - reminds me on Universal Studios in Hollywood ;)

There isn't a lot of Zimmer himself, just lots of his coworkers; I like that style of score.
As for Jurassic Park, that's because Williams almost always works with Spielberg, or at least Universal.

Hans Zimmer is simply great, not weird he's in here so much, all of his songs are masterpieces!

I did it in alphabetical order; if I were to put it in order of preference, I would have started with the Transformers score.

I am not willing to violate copyright.
I purchased it from Amazon[.]com, so it can definitely be found there.

ah right. personally i think he is a genius (although not my favorite)
how about these:
James Newton Howard
Howard Shore
Danny Elfman
John Powell
Elliot Goldenthal
Patrick Doyle?
Just curious tbh. I can see you like Media Ventures/Remote Control!

Agree with all except the Transformers scores...

You don't like them? Do you dislike the music, or find it to be too close to other composers (notably Zimmer)?
