Cont'd....Yeah, these young bands can whine out barf lyrics about the opposite sex and saw on their drums and guitars at high speeds but there is no distinguishable melodies and no FEELING being conveyed by the music. AIC is, was, and will always be one of the best at authoring and performing distinguishable melodies with feeling behind them, and songs with lyrics that are open to interpretation. And what young people NEED to understand is what good music is and that it is timeless and ageless.

Billboard aside, my local douchebag alternative FM radio station has been around for 15 years and still plays more old AIC stuff than the new. And the new stuff isn't played nearly as much as monotone no-talent crap like Rise Against, etc. It's like they are trying desperately to hold onto younger audiences by only playing bands that "blew up" within the last 5 years whose members are still in their 20's.

When I heard this song, it was a relief. I was worried that any new AIC material was going to be less than savory, especially after Chris Cornell's album. This track is good. I'm finding it easier to imagine people enjoying the fuck out of this group despite Layne, although I don't think anyone really expects this to be the same band.

And you're right, Will is no Layne, cause his guitar skills matched with his voice are incomparable to anyone! Layne made mistakes too bro, but much bigger ones, thats why sadly hes not here anymore.

Nonetheless, i was at this show. it was great to hear these new songs live, this and Acid Bubble, A Looking In View were so intens during this show.

Can't wait for the album coming up Sept.

DuVall sure did impress me during this set, his voice was great, still no layne, but Jerry did find hemself a decent(i'll say great) vocalist to continue the Alice In Chains legacy
