You guys need to have some enthusiasm. You need to pay more attention on what you're doing than on what the camera looks like. You guys just stand there and stare at the camera and you look mean and it kinda creeps me out.
This is really nicely done. :) I'm new to puppeteering, and wanna try making some puppets of my own too, Avenue Q has been such an inspiration to me as well. I find it amusing but a little strange that rod's puppeteer poured so much emotion into the puppet, yet expressed so little emotion through himself, so maybe work on that. Nickys puppeteer could work on that too. You keep a straight face, which is actually lil distracting. Nonetheless, amazing job!
Good job handling Rod. The boy with Nicky could use some more practice. The boy handling Rod could also look away from the camera every now and then. MUCH BETTER THAN THE BA IN ENGLISH. Rod is more lifelike than the others that I have watched.
these puppets are amazing, but it's kinda weird seeing the puppets in action when the people behind them have straight faces. i mean, the person handling rod keeps staring straight into the camera...
but still, really really REALLY great job. I love avenue q and wish i could make my own puppets!
I've gotta say that the guy handling Rod's puppet does a MUCH better job of keeping him alive than does the one using Nicky. AND if you made the puppets, i'd have to say you did a pretty good job.
that might have something to do with the person controlling rod had had months to practise whilst the other 1 had 1/2 an hr lol. sorry, when i look back over them i see how crap i actually was :P
thanks but some credit has to go to the other puppet operator as he helped and also did all the eiting so it was a team effort but thanks anyway! check out the rest of our vids just newly on
one tip: As the puppeteer you and your puppet should be connected. You need to do what it does and feel it's emotion. Don't just stand there lifeless!
......I probably sound old and crazy! Good job though

Wow! The guy with Rod is really good! Sure, he could be more... emotive, but he still managed to bring the puppet to life. Congrats!
Pretty nice puppets by the way!
