You can also do this with just two people, it takes a while but ya. You have to keep trading and starting all over, it's pretty easy.

So.... why hatch it before trading it? If you trade it before it hatches it will be owned to the trainer who hatched it, meaning if you did it early game, you would have 3 starters who listen to you with or without badges???

you can just pick one starter, go to a pokemon center, trade that one to your friend, restart the game, choose a different starter pokemon, trade that one to your friend, and then do it again until your friend has all 3 and then he can trade them back to you.

@zozo5002 You can't breed legendaries with anything, including ditto. But yes w/ Typhlosion. I did this when I had saphire and emerald. I just started a new game a bunch of times & traded my starters from one game to another, xD.

to get all three starters you need 2(or 3) action replay codes. you need the walk through things cheat, the stealing pokemon cheat and if needed the 100%catch rate cheat. to start you need turtwig as your starter. then use your catch other pomemon cheat and get your friends chimchar when you bump into him sometime. to get a piplup use your walkthrough things cheat and go past jubilife city through the tree's to right before eterna forest. there will be a trainer with a piplup there catch it.

it doesnt have to be a ditto, its just gotta be in the same egg group, but the form that comes out must be the female, in my pearl, i got a complete pokedex by migrating from firered over and over, thanks to my friends gameshark, i could reset the game so i could migrate with the same cartridge right away and snag some really nice items
