As you know, there are Russian and Chinese copies of the old BMW bikes - they are much cheaper than an original, but not of high quality.

I cannot say the same thing about you're screen name & home page. Seems a bit odd to say those things about America, considering our roads are crowded with fine German engineering, including BMW motorcycles. Perhaps it would have been best if you were indeed born 70 years earlier. Who knows... perhaps in another life you were there and your family had benifited from the Berlin air lift after the war.
