I gotta tell you nice work on the rotoscoping but as a 15 year trainer of the bow staff you need a lot of practice. just a tip if you put your hand out like that in a fight with me I will cut it off faster then you can blink your eyes. Keep your hands on the weapon.

Cheers for the advice, but this was just to test if I could make a rotoscoped vid. If I had the skill in handling a bo, I wouldn't need to superimpose a lightsaber over it, I would make it look good without it.

You are half right. I added the last few frames in reverse as a guide for the saber deactivating, but didn't darken them enough so you can still see me. The voice at the end was added along with the effects.

The video was my first attempt at trying film visual effects. The only "toy" was a wooden stick. How do you think the pros started?!

Not necessarily. A lightstaff is slightly different. That is more like what Grevious' guards had.

Ahhh, What you are saying is true in a way but... Grivious' guards did not use lightstaffs nor double sided lightsabers, they were using electro staffs... but I do see what you try to mean, i still hold strong that the proper name for a double sided lightsaber is a lightstaff.

double sided lightsaber is not formal, but lightstaff is.
