Walter Martin made the comment that the "Eternal Son" teaching came from the heretical Origen. By stating this comment, he is destroying his own belief in the Trinity. If there was no Eternal Son in the beginning, then there was no coeternal, coequal persons. The Catholic creeds place the Son as being in the beginning with the Father.
It is more comfortable to come up with a Logistic sense out of thin air , a sort of explanation of where we really came from and who our maker is. . Rather than wondering what is really going on here? It is human nature to make things up to ease the human mind. What it all comes down to is ..Is there really a God? The bible gives many examples of baptiz in the name of Jesus, it is clearly a biblical way to baptize but still trinitarians wont surrender to that. That is why i told you that modalist have many valid points also the trinitarians and both try to say they are bible teachers when clearly both have issues with some parts of the bible. Mathew 28:19 is the only part that mentions : Father, son and holy spirit, but there is a lot of evidence that the apostles never used that name.

Faith is the subtance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. ( an actual scripture says this word for word) So for me it is not about proof but faith. (We are saved by grace thru faith). It would be harder for me to believe this is all just random and meaningless, not to mention the wonder behind creation itself (life).

Jesus said in John 8:24 "for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins" he was referring to the father as you can read prior in verse 19 of the same chaper. It's the trinitarians who will hear the words "I never knew you", because they deny that he is the Father also. Read Colossians 2:8-10, John 1:10, Colossians 1:14-19, 1st Timothy 3:16 Jesus is the God of the old testament manifested in the flesh.

The proper difinition of "Person" is "human" It requires by sound reasoning the conclusion that the Father is the Spirit, John 4:24. Thus the Son was the Child of the Holy Spirit, Mt. 1:20 and so the Word became flesh Jn. 1:14 and in the original greek text... And tabernacled among us. That Tabernacle is the flesh and within was the Almighty God; for all the fulness of the Godhead dwelt in him bodily.

New testament greek doesn't have a distinct personal pronoun, since all nouns are gendered. English distinguishes between persons and things by using "him/her" versus "it", since people have genders and inanimate objects don't (with the occasional exception of ships). In greek, all nouns have gender, so the greek equivalent of the english "him" or "her" could just as easily refer to a inanimate object or abstract noun.

the upci is an isolating church. It always will try to alienate you from other believers. It is elitist and proud. It has a negative impact on marriage and childraising. Sorry, but i was there. If you leave, God WILL honor you if you leave for His sake. If you just want Him and not all the religious legalism. Grace is not taught. Most upc people live in condemnation. Fear of their pastor. At time sequence 6:37-42 Walter Martin pulls something that I think could be deceptive.
He claims that "we both agree that... the Eternal Generation of the Son derives from origin who was heretical on that point" noting "we don't have to deal with that.." while in fact Martin's partner Dr. Beisner ADHERES to the Eternal Son doctrine.
Martin evaded that doctrine which is considered essential by most Trinitarian scholars who consider Martin heretical in denying Eternal Sonship!!

To my knowledge, Beisner 100% agrees with Eternal Sonship. He has written a book on the Trinity doctrine and it could be checked there.

The bible gives many examples of baptiz in the name of Jesus, it is clearly a biblical way to baptize but still trinitarians wont surrender to that. That is why i told you that modalist have many valid points also the trinitarians and both try to say they are bible teachers when clearly both have issues with some parts of the bible. Mathew 28:19 is the only part that mentions : Father, son and holy spirit, but there is a lot of evidence that the apostles never used that name.

@IsaacBG84 i agree that there are religions that don't follow biblical teaching , thats why you have to find a good church that holds to all the biblical teachings, but there are those who believe in the trinity which is correct but do not believe salvation is by Grace but instead works, take the catholic church for example, but being baptized is not what saves some one, christ does, if you got the wrong jesus then you got no salvation, they believe in a different God a made up 1, Mormons & jWs

Jesus is the Son of God, alpaha and Omega, YHWH on the flesh who is worthy of worship. We have the same God, im sad when i see the trinitarians blaming the UPC to be a cult, but when they judge they are being judged because many trinitarians are cult memebers in a sense that we must beleive the trinity to be saved, so its anti-biblical that salvation comes by beilveing in the trinity, Salvation comes from beiliving Jesus is the Son of God, That is biblical.

I agree with you in several point you made, i believe also that there is one God, and that God is one, and as you say we must surrender to the word of God regardless of our personal feelings or beliefs, child indoctrination, etc. So in this context i want to make clear that most trinity churches dont baptize in the name of Jesus although we can see a lot of plain and perfectly clear texts that say so, Walter Martin has to admit that he is not being honest when refuting this.

@IsaacBG84 NOT Sure as to what specifically you are talking about when referring to walter martin on Baptism, i might have missed it, But i know walter martin believes that salvation has nothing to do with baptism in the sense that baptism does not make one saved or is not a work plus grace to obtain salvation.
One is saved by faith through grace not works, but after one is Saved he should be baptized because it is commanded to be done, the text proves that it is not part of obtaining salvation

In John 8:16-17, the Lord cited the Old Testament principle of multiple witnesses for legal documentation. He is countering the Pharisaic allegation that his witness is not true (v. 13). It is understood that sons call their fathers father, and fathers call their sons son. One must remember that when this voice was speaking to Jesus from the clouds, Jesus was still on earth speaking with Peter. According to Oneness doctrine, this passage would mean that we have a god who talks to Himself.

Although I believe your interpretation is faulty concerning the Trinity. There are a lot of Scripture that has to be ignored or taken out of context. The scriptures were not corrupted by the church fathers. Anyone can understand the Trinity and that its stated clearly in the scriptures. It sounds to me that you have alot of studying to do concerning the Lord. Pray about it and except the Lord as your savior. Just believe.

Wow, did he just say that the grammar in Bible is wrong??....John 1 states that the "word was God" then in chapter 14 it states that "the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" So if the Word was God, and the Word was made into flesh, meaning the Word was made into Jesus, then that means they are two in the same. The word was God and the word was Jesus.

Wrong. Original manuscripts and the ones we have today are almost exactly alike. That is the devil talking to weaken your faith. The Bible is the word of God and any one that does not believe that and says theyre a christian should reexamine themselves in the faith. Stop with the nonsense and find the true Jesus of the Bible. Get your head out of dreamworld. You are mistaken. The printing press was not invented until 1454.Therefore, EVERY manuscript had to be copied by hand. Humans are not perfect and we make mistakes. For you to say a mistake could not happen like you saying we are non human. Also, WE DO NOT HAVE THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPTS. So, you do not know what was in them.
