  • look at him 4:33 !!!!

  • nick is an amazing drummer, unfortunatly he just became a bit of a metronome for floyd after dark side

  • this is one of the finest music DVDs i have enjoyed . Nothing like PF to produce such an intense classic such as this .

  • i don't know what you mean when he took drugs! PINK FLOY DID NOT USE DRUGS ALL THAT HEAVILY! if you've ever watched the FULL dvd live at pompeii you'll remember that david gilmour says they're not a drug oriented group. if they aren't a drug oriented group then how could they possibly be doing drugs? i mean yeah sure they smoked pot but everone knows that's not a drug. they weren't acid taking burn outs. i hate that everyone thinks they sat around & did drugs. read comfortably numb. you'll see

  • @itsrando11 hey ASSHOLE, THC is a drug!!! If there was no THC in pot then NO ONE would smoke it. POT IS A DRUG. Put down the bong. Save the few brain cells that you have not damaged by smoking pot which contains the drug THC. Do you want to get Brain Damage --

The lunatic is on the grass.

The lunatic is on the grass.

  • hello,i just want to say that you ´re point is not totally accurate. The thc is an active pharmaceutical ingredient , and its one of the many apis that the pot has. This is not meaning that the pot is a drug. All plants have Apis. Peace.

  • your point sorry

  • @originalminujk You're are WAAAAY to high strung.. maybe you should smoke pot. Or take up jerking off so maybe others can tolerate your presence HAHAHAH.

  • @originalminujk BRAIN DAMAGE is not about getting high... learn your floyd !

  • Slide guitar is great ... but solo is too short :) others too

  • i can feel the anger i luv it

  • jeah,he was better when he took drugs :-)..no,really i mean: today he's sitting behind this huge set and just..tickin off the beats and back in those days like pompeii,he was really goin crazy!he really became boring...but it is still a great band!

  • Nick is very underrated

  • Very, very underrated!!!

  • awesome!!!!!

  • This is ROCK, mates...no lyrics, just the power of a legendary band in their best moment, playing magic music in a legendary place...thanx dad for showing it to me!

  • As their albums got to be more and more 'composed' or precise, I think there was less and less room for Mason to show off his stuff... with perhaps the opening of 'Time' on Dark Side or 'Run Like Hell' on The Wall. I think that was part of his frustration. After seeing this several times he reminds me more and more like Keith Moon.

  • Im with you guys, on the early albums he rips, listen to the album "more" the song ibiza bar and the nile song he absolutely shreds. It gives such a great feel to the song.

  • Poor nick had been classed as a bit of a boring drummer. Due to the lack of live recordings at thier peak, its easy to agree, but as shown here, he was just as energetic and charasmatic as ginger baker.

  • he was an awesome drummer on the 60's and early 70's, but he got boring... just watch PULSE DVD, he does like nothing compared to the other drummer

  • Yeah your right, he did BECOME boring........ Dont care much for the pulse stuff.

  • if he did drop the stick by accident... all good drummers should be able to do what he did, sticks brake all the time.. thus every accompliched drummer has extra sticks

  • I think he might of got rid of that stick on purpose because it was worn out..

  • It's a truly excting song!

  • Simply the best Nick is awesome!!! Great job nice channel

  • Thanks :)

  • YEAH

    Floyd rocks!

  • This is not death metal. This is too good to be death metal. This is Floydism.

  • He was being sarcastic I think.

  • It's interesting at 4:35 or so when Mason has a stick fly away from him, that he adjusts to it but that this event caused him to play a certain thing. I love things like this that are accidental but can affect the creative process. This is what creativity runs on in a way. Even concepts or words often get picked up on due to accidental meetings or things they overheard or randomly saw in a magazine.

It's great that some music from that era was allowed to breath with chance.

  • Its sad but true; the kind of music they made can never be made again! Never again. and should never be made again! This is the true spirit of Floyd music. thats the way of the Sultans of Psychadellia!

  • yeah. oh, for accidend i was going to reply your other comment and removed it.

so, yeah, nick mason plays perfect, even when he throws/drops his drumstick

  • Very nice :D

  • I have to agree =)

  • man nick mason is underated, he is an awesome drummer, one of my favorit and one of the best, right beside gigner baker, john bonham, buddy rich, mitch mitchell, gotta love him man, gotta love pink floyd

  • Ian Paice from Deep Purple is awesome, too.

But Mason still kicks asses in this video.

  • He is the soul of every Floyd song. Specially when he strikes those discs. And an Impression I have about this guy is the backbone of his drumming lies in his disc striking capabilities!

  • The best ! thanks

  • You're welcome.

  • Man!

  • best pink floyd song ever!

don't know why i love it so much

  • i don't think it's the best song, but one of the bests

i like very much the disc Animals, and the song Shine On you Crazy Diamond

but it's obvious that One of These Days is a greeeat song

  • This song absoloutely kicks ass on this DVD! love the drumming in this one for some reason! A classic example of why the Floyd are legends

  • this is pure rock an roll this is the real pink floyd

  • oh yeah!
