@lilmisscutie007 lol you're that scared of needles, huh? i had to have an angiiogram last april because i had severe headaches and i had to have an IV.
I had this three times and will have it again today (first three were for cervical epidurals and today is for a cervical joint block) all I remember is getting up on a table on my stomach and the doctor inserting something into the iv in my hand then cutting down the back of the paper scrub shirt thing the make you wear then waking up in the recovery area...and trumpeting like an elephant. Because all three times I was high as a kite when I woke up.
SWeetheart now they will strapped you down remove your gown and shaved you from breast bone to public hair bone and then they will cut you two inches above your navel and below to the public hair bone then they will remove your female organ or that cystic
Haha, out like a light. :) I'm sure I did something similar to this woman when I got my wisdom teeth out. All I remember is the doctor saying "You'll be asleep in 10 seconds." and thinking "Yeah right, I don't feel tired at all." about 5 seconds after it was injected. After that I don't remember anything. No drifting off, no blurriness, no darkness - nothing. Just waking up. :O Quite amazing things medicine is capable of.
@goshihtzu1 I had braces for almost 8 years and had 4 teeth removed before, they didn't give me anything except shots of Novocaine, it didn't hurt at all. For my braces I didn't get anything, but it didn't hurt at all (and I'm a wuss) :) Don't worry, they will make you very comfortable, you have nothing to worry about. Good luck!
I'm nervous. I'm gettin braces and I'm scared does it hurt? Do you feel anything? Are you still awake? Are you going to remember anything from the past? I'm so nervouse I'm getting out 4 please help!!!
@goshihtzu1 You don't even get anesthesia for braces, maybe Novocaine, but nothing else. Are you talking about getting teeth removed? Then you would get put to sleep. If you are getting braces, it starts to hurt like 2 hrs afterwards.
Here's my funny anesthesia story. I had an operation back in October 2007. I remember talking nonstop to the nurses on my way to the operating room (this was due to the sedatives they put me on). XD When we got there, I rolled onto the table and kept talking while the nurses hooked me to an EKG. Then they said, "OK, you're going to go to sleep now" and injected the anesthesia into my IV. Just before I drifted off, I said, "OK, goodnight", even though it was early in the morning!
I had an emergency appendectomy (appendix removal) when i was 17, i was in agony for hours and pretty doped up on pain killers when i went into the operating theater, i was terrified that the annasetic wouldnt work so i was screaming (in a drugged daze) ITS NOT WORKING!!! ITS NOT WORKING!!! i woke up five hours later. (there were complications) i heard later after i passed out the surgen said "yes it is" and the whole room cracked up =) i LOVE going under now.
The last ting I remember is saying "This isn't working". Next thing I knew I woke up in the recovery room. I felt absolutely nothing. I didn't get tired or anything. One second I was awake sitting there, next second I just wasn't:
vou ter que tomar uma anestesia geral. Já tomei uma quando era adolescente e agora vou ter que tomar outra porque precisarei passar por uma operação. Anestesia geral é muito boa. Você é operado e apaga completamente como é o caso deste vídeo. É deste jeito... Você toma e "já era".
I can't believe I look like that every 2 months.Glad all the Anaesthetist's know me. But bloody good medicine. Makes you feel really good just before.......
i had my wisdom teeth out and got IV sedation. first they dripped some clear fluid that drastically reduced my racing heart ( i was nervous) and it made me feel warm. then the anesthesiologist injected the anesthesia the same way as in the video. a nurse then put something black in the side of my mouth to keep it open, and then i was out cold. :) woke up later in a little recovery area with double vision, slurred speech, and poor coordination.
For me it the only sign that is was "in effect" was my voice started slurring when i was talking to the docter. They put drapes over my face and it just felt like I was awake the whole time but seemed like it only lasted 10 minutes, when it really lasted 40. For me it was just amnesic, not any other feeling.
I had this done 2 days ago to extract 2 teeth. It's great!!! Like the best kind of drunk you can imagine! I don't remember anything except a painful yank. Other than that, it was awesome!
@Nasaplt Yes its really good. It costs around 250-300€ in Germany. But u dont have to pay it. everybody must have an health insurance coverage. Thats really good.
I got the same procedure, mine were not impacted but I was conscious during all the procedure. I mean at times it went black that's true. The difference is that I was able to get up from the chair and go home perfectly conscious and enteres my room walking on my own.
Can you imagine how this procedure was done in the past when there was no anesthesia nor antibiotics. It must've been a really frightening experience.
@Nasaplt LOL, I went to get outpatient surgery a week ago, and the "sleepy medicine" was given to me through my IV. The last thing I remember was one of the members of the surgical team gave me oxygen through a mask. Then I woke up back in the pre-op room wondering if my procedure was done...and it was.
At first it is explained that Sabine is nervous although the surgery may only take about an hour and that the medication starts to work.
"At the moment I don´t notice anything yet....... Now I feel something in my throat... it´s getting chilly........now I´m getting lightheaded.... and it may only take a ............."
"I don't feel anything yet. Now I feel something in my throat... it's getting cold. Now I'm getting dizzy...and it will maybe take (some time) (falls asleep before she can finish the sentence)
LOL do u have any more of those vids last summer i had open heart surgery the anesthesia was the best part i lv anesthesia i want to have it again sooo badly
This is most likely fentanyl or versed or both. Like he said Midazolam which is versed this would most definitely not be Valium . Valium is a joke for anesthesiologist that is usually used for anxiety for an M.R.I etc.
This stuff was awesome when I got my knee surgery.. I was in pre-op and freaking out on the inside (on the outside I only had one tear drop) and then they told me they were going to give me my sedation next and that is causes amnesia most of the time. Well they said it would take 30 seconds to kick in, but I had like fuzzy tunnel vision after 10 seconds and I felt as if I could walk on air! I felt no fear whatsoever anymore. Good stuff.
here is how my sedation went
dentist- your gonna feel a prick

Next thing I know is waking up in another room at the doctors office.
