  • I can't say enough about Insanity. Shaun T, you have changed my life! I've done two rounds, lost 35 pounds, brought my body fat into the elite category, and now I can't stop being active. It's not an easy program, not easy at all, but it is so worth it in the end if you stick to it, and keep track of your eating!

    @Taimoor03 I know dozens of people who've completed this workout multiple times and never had an injury. They key is listening to your body. If you feel pain, STOP!

  • The only negative to insanity is you are prone to injury and should expect some kind of injury along the way. Cardio recovery and the stretching before and after each workout does help but these workouts are intense but you shouldnt give up if you get injured. Dig Deeper!

  • @MyGirlyGirl0019 It does work. Before this the only sport I did was the compulsory stuff in school lessons. After only 3 weeks I can see my body changing. It really gives you a "feel-good" factor. :)

  • @AnXxiieTyZz you can't turn fat into muscle.... that makes no sense... you can burn fat and build muscle, but there is no physical way to turn fat into muscle.

  • you know, the best part of this whole thing is the people working out in the video. Some of them struggle and sit parts out and can't finish moves. It's reassuring and proof that this is a HARDCORE workout. Not for the lazy or the faint hearted.

  • Not interested, this doesn't even look like legitimate exercises. Lets think, mostly LARGE people need it and most of them are not capable of doing most of the stuff on this video. P90X is more reasonable for the novices out there. This program is for people who are about 10 to 15 pounds overweight who ate too much over the holidays, not for larger people. P90X is for everybody. As Tony Horton said: "you have options with P90X". Insanity is not for the larger people, too risky.

  • @kltiswhoib actually, LARGE people need to lose some fuckin weight.. you can see that all the before pictures on day one are not of fat people.. lol.. i havent seen one fat person on the whole commercial.. its for people that are at the correct weight, but just want to be cut!..

  • @budmancb Even for medium or smaller people, this would be the wrong choice. No professional bodybuilder would tell you to rush your reps, it gets you nowhere. You have to hold the rep and let it go slowly, or else you're just breaking a sweat for nothing and risking serious injury. Really slick marketing tool though, and I bet those before and after photos were all Photoshop creations. The people in the video are already fit, which is another part of the marketing side.

  • @kltiswhoib This is more HIIT cardio than anything. Large people attempting this would get heart attacks. This is intense. If someone wants to gain mass using this then they won't get anywhere, so I agree with you on that.

Where theres a will theres a way. Shaun T said it himself. This dvd is only for ppl who already have self-discipline, dedication, and a work ethic...but if u already have that then u dont need ure dvd.

  • I've do P90X one cycle , then I do insanity to pick up my cardio, then back to another cycle of P90X. Gains have been good, and this gives the cardio fat burn that P90X cant. P90X is good because you do weights every 2nd day, but the only thing i really get a good cardio workout on is Plyo, hence doing Insanity.

  • @Sinderlab wait a sec, look at the calendar p90x lean, there is loads of cardio though, so would you still recommend insanity instead of p90x lean version for me, my goal is to loose fat, especially chest and belly fat, this is what makes me angry about myself..

  • @involverrrrr that would depend if you'd want to spend money on extra equipment if you can afford extra equipment then i'd go with insanity, But both p90x and Insanity are good programs

I am already started p90x before but gave up coz of work, and also i feel like i need burn more fat, i need to burn fat completly from my chest, i have gynocamastia but i am sure there is fat not breast issue, so i build muscles, chest was going bigger and pushed the fat in front, so it's problem to burn fat and build muscles at the same time, that's why i think insanity is better to start with to burn fat,

  • @sinderlab insanity has way more pushups than the lean version of P90X and pushups is the best thing for chest fat..

  • You might get ripped by doing insanity but your not going to build the same strength that you could at a gym. Furthermore, don't expect to get those kind of results unless your diet is spot on. If I had to choose between this or P90x though I would go with p90x because there is more resistance training involved. Either way the best option is to join the gym because after a while doing the same workouts get old. In the gym you can change your workout every week.

  • @THR33oneTHR33 This works, and does everything it says it will. It is an extremely hard workout which very few people could get motivated enough to do by themselves.

    If you don't need the videos to stay on this strict of a workout plan then congrats, you have a lot of willpower. However, most people cannot do that.

  • I have been exercizing at an advanced level for fifteen years and have been an athlete all my life ... but this workout is something else. When I finish a workout I rubber-legged, soaked in sweat, and a little sick to my stomach. But the results are incomparable - I have never felt so fit. I am in the best shape of my life. Highly recommend this one if you can PUSH yourself.

  • @KINGDAVID230 you lose fat faster when youre really fat. its the last few belly fat that is harder to lose when you are around 180 lbs.  i lost about 100, but not with thsi program, and the belly fat are the worst.

  • @phamrecords Technically you can. Just work twice as hard to make up for the 600 calories you ate. Thats app. the amount in a double cheesburger at mcdonalds. And its gonna be a lot harder. I suggest to just stick with the nutritional plan.

  • @TheNahina I'd say your friend is too young for insanity as the muscles wouldn't have fully developed at that age.

  • you need a little bit of space for some of the exercises... I've been doing it for a week and a half and this shit is hard but it works... at the beginning you might have to stop a lot of times but the days will pass and you will be able to complete the full workout... I'm not quitting this... its even helping me stop smoking so much damn cigarettes!

  • Don't think I could do this ALONE...I'd NEED to have one or more with me who were serious and dedicated to finishing. Is all I can do to get to the gym and complete my own regimen, which is hardly a killer workout. I look around to see others and what some of the more athletic are doing. Sometimes I incorporate a little of what they do in my routine--but their PRESENCE helps me to resume, to finish.

  • @weedermann same here...i'm a personal trainer and many of my clients say they can't workout alone and when i ask them to do some fitness in their own home when they can't make it to the gym, most say they can't, since they are not in an environment where others are working out. for me, as soon as i'm in a gym and i see others energetically working out, i get into it as well...but alone, i find myself not pushing hard enough. which is why i say this is just another dust collecting workout dvd.

  • i think its another hoax...the workouts are intense and they are 90% of maximum effort, but the dvd itself shows that in those "group classes" the personal trainer or the group class director is watching everyone's form and is also pushing and motivating everyone that is working out. if you don't have that motivation and guide in your living room, you're going to give up on this workout dvd just like the other 5 you have collecting dust. on top of that, you need a fat burning diet as well.

    Maybe if your unmotivated you won't keep working. If you are devoted and want to lose weight you'll motivate yourself. That guy talks to you throughout the video and pushes you as well. You don't need a "fat burning diet." You need a well balanced diet with plenty of nutrients and little fast food/cake etc. I've done this before. It's entertaining and difficult.

  • @2f2fbattlepope a diet or well balanced diet that makes you go down on weight is a "fat burning diet" because you are creating a caloric deficit that will put your body in a fat burning zone my friend. i have gone down on weight even while eating fast food/cake, because it's a fact that if you hold off on foods that you enjoy eating, the next time you eat those kinds of food you are going to over eat them. as i said before, this dvd is going to collect dust as your other ones are.

  • Why do people always slouch and not smile in their before pictures lol. It makes it kind of deceptive. Although these seem real, it always irritates me when I see peopl.e looking depressed in their before pics.

  • I don't understand how it makes you muscular though, it looks like pure cardio/endurance training. Maybe if you mixed it with weight training?
