My wife is the 100% disabled vet. the state of mass is trying to get her for child support after her child was kidnapped by relatives. They were awarded custody because they basically crushed what was left of her when they kicked her out in the street kidnapped her son and told the courts she was homeless and therefore an unfit parent. (did i mention they refused to let her have access to her own disability?)
People use child support as a weapon. yes they should be immune as title 38 states.
I guess this means Disabled Veteran's should be above the law. I can understand protection from credit sharks, but if child support is ok, then alimony should also be allowed. It is the humane thing to do considering a woman dedicated her life to this man and men now days think we are rags that need to be tossed in the trash when the man is dissatisfied. Marriage is a sacred contract. A disable veteran would have gotten day to day care from his or her spouse. Other men are not exempt, so...
I wouldn't have left my husband if he was severely disabled, my husband didn't want to be with me and the kids 24/7 is what he said. Disability payments have a double blade sometimes. GREED!
