Darren have you ever had the chance to use the thunderpole Supernova? mobile antenna, Im trying to find real reviews on it from users, Rating is good on thunderpole website, but its theres lol they would say that,
@NitroMaximus Ive never tried one, I also dont know anyone else that has either. There used to be a guy at Birtley that made fantastic mobile cb antennas but Ive not heard from him for a while now. Alot of the taxi lads around here had them.
@NitroMaximus Hi there, yes I bought a 20metre diamond mobile antenna its brilliant, today I received a 40metre mobile antenna from Maplins, by Moonraker, I havent swr'ed it yet but just stuck it on the roof and straight away I was getting all over the uk. Ive got them running through an automatic ATU and have to admit the moonraker was getting tuned in with the ATU so I dont know how far out it is but brilliant reports on 50watts. I also have a SRC HF 360 and will get that up next week. 2E0DKD
@darynsax Also forgot to mention the automatic ATU did tune up the stinger cb antenna on all bands but I just couldnt get out on it so there is one little experiment Ive done. Ill be placing some photos on my webpage soon, there is already a few of my new homebase antenna and my old taxi and new taxi with the antennas on them.The new SRC HF 360 I put on a small tripod in my garden and straight away into USA I was well impressed.
PM me your callsign Darren....we'll have a QSO mate.You need either an Outbacker or some changeable Hustler HF whips.......Using CB antennas of any sort on Ham bands will net poor results mate.......73's Dave M0OGY.
