@SuperWolf3d A trigger sense the vibration of the drum head and interprets that into a signal flow which is then transfered to a sound module, in the end it can make that drum sound like anything you want.

You're a great drummer! Really good groove and feel around the set, but you're not a blast beater. Work on your 16th and 32nd notes (depends on the tempo), and your individual hands, as opposed to both your hands at the same time. Get another snare, slap an old head on it, tune it up just barely, (maybe two or three lug turns, depends on the head and snare) just not very bouncy/poppy., and practice blasts on that. Sometimes I practice on my pillows and my legs.

@micahbrill If you're referring to his snare, that's reverb that's been added on after being recorded. Almost all recordings have at least some sort of reverb added onto the drums, because the recordings themselves are extremely dry due to the room and such.
