People seem to have forgotten that Communism can only work when in power with the people. Russia was not communist, it was state-run capitalism. The USA is the closest country to becoming the true definition of Communism.
State run capitalism is called Fascism. And that is EXACTLY what we are heading for now. State ownership of all major manufacturing, farming, and transportation industries within the united states. This is the change people voted for - complete government control. As if it weren't big enough....
Well I would probably refer to heterosexism as "The general human biological state of affairs" and not " A negative byproduct of capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, and male dominated privilege" I don't feel comfortable when I hear of government "Enlightening the Youth" so I guess I think this program would probably do a lot of good but should be watched very closely. Also I don't think anything can be "Universal" & "Voluntary" at the same time.. though I might be misunderstanding the name

He's referencing Obama's idea of a "Universal Voluntary Public Service", and talking down such things as "activists" and what not, as if just a mere mention of the words carries sinister portent, and I just don't see it. This country was BORN on activism. When a government goes bad, people NEED to be activists against it.

I would gladly give up my Freedom and Dreams if it ment that the 25million Por Africans with HIV/AIDS would have a home and education and health care the same as everyone else.
