@EllJayyHarri this was my 1st evr production too and i got ti moune. it was the most amazing experiance. me and the girl tht played Mama for our production r suuper close now evn tho we'd nva met bfor the sho and i evn call her mama- hardly eva by herr actual name lol :P so many memories and tht was 2years ago. i hope yoo'v had/r having an experiance as great as mine! :D

I love this musical with all my heart. I played both Agwe and Papa Ge. I directed it 3 times - one of those times was in Western Samoa. My good friend Kristian Lei played Ti Moune in the Filipines some years ago. She has since gone on to play Kim in Miss Saigon in Stuttgart Germany. And is now in Hon Kong playing Nala in The Lion King.

Great actors, fabulous singers etc. but I think the makeup is a tad bit minstrel-esque (if you know what I mean) and the west indian accents sound a bit too forced.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. I love this cast... as much as the original Broadway Cast. Though they may be a different ethenicity,the spirit of this show, it's music, and most importantly the message are not lost. hooray for nontraditional production!!
