im not an egyptian but ill tell you ..as part of human history .. im proud to know about this big and unique culture that rule the world milenia ago ..
...I feel so proud to be Egyptian,I love that my bloodline is the same bloodline of those of the Pharaohs so fucking much.Ancient Egyptian FRIGGING RULE!
@AMxPunk I am curious, are you of Arab decent? Because the majority of Egyptions are Ethniclly Arabic as I understand. Are you one of the old non-Arabs that is related with the Pharaohes? I am very interested in knowing the Etnich group of Ancient Egypt.
Statistics show that 70% of Egyptians are of Pharaoh decent and only 10% are Caucasian or of another decent and 20% of Egyptians are mixed.Whats funny is that most Pharaohs were of mixed decent too since we had black African Pharaohs from Nubia and Caucasian Pharaohs,In short the Egyptian people are almost a pure race :)
@AMxPunk Oh okay, could you link me any sources if I have to prove these statements myself? Many thanks! And as a curiosety I belive that Tutankhamon's grandmother was an African (negroid, black, whatever you want to call it).
I was in a perfect sandstorm in Cairo, so I couldnt see the pyramids:( But somehow this lead me to a so much better place, Monastery Catherine. If you are going to Simai, visit this place...
an amazing song describing an inkling of how hard it must have been for moses to turn his back on everthing he knew to serve the Elohim of the Jews that he was taught from a young age to hate
@NeTiNa19 i don't think it's that he hated the jews, he was just indifferent to their suffering because he thought he was a prince of egypt all this time, it never had occured to him that the babies being thrown in with the gators could have been him or that he could have been a slave as well.
While I love this song, and many others in that film, I must ask-if they didn't want anyone, particularly Moses himself, to know that he was brought to them by the river and wasn't really their son, why would they have it painted on a massive wall that he and any number of servants and other people would pass by when walking through the palace? It seems a bit...well....blatant plot device-ish. I mean, didn't he see it before? Ever? Or the gigantic one with the babies being thrown to the crocs?
@Nyghtshade409 I'm going to guess he never really paid attention to it until he finally learned the truth. When you're around something you grew up with, you normally don't take notice to it until it's really brought to your attention or, as what Miriam had done, you finally see the real truth and begin to really feel the pain of what had happened to those people. Even the dream he had made it more clear to his attention and that really began to hurt him more.
@Nyghtshade409 u hav to understand they recorded alot through heiroglyphics especially big events. so it wud hav been something he wud of had to search for.and there was no reason to search untill he had one.so the answer wud be no.he wudnt have noticed until he wanted to know
