By making an official statement regarding Obama's document is in the vital statistic records, doesn't that open the avenues of request for access to the documents referred to by that statement?

If they make an official public statement, claiming, a document on file, in the government vault, says, "beetle juice", then is it reasonable to expect access to that document, or a certified copy, or a certified redacted copy, of the official original document in custody?

@borderraven, Yes it does, and Hawaii State laws require that they release any data used to support public statements made by their officials, but, the State of Hawaii, still refuses to release the documents. They are actually trying to pass a law that would allow them to ignore FOIA requests from Birthers.

I know of a couple that was stationed in Hickam AFB, Hawaii who [forgot the reason] obtained a Hawaiian Birth Certificate for their daughter, even though she was born in Europe..
