  • so, how the heck do you find this place and the actual spot where ceaser was killed??? i read a modern-day palace has the original colomns of the upper floor of the pompey theatre, is this true?

  • Hey.......this is pretty cool.

    This is actualy just a single vault of the lower section of the theatre's first floor or basement. There are further vaults below. The theatre was dismantled around the 15th century and larg chunks of surviving peices exist in other structures throughout Rome.

    Caesar was killed in the back area of the Crypta or courtyard in the entrance to Pmpy's Curia, where the senate was meeting while the Curia Julia was being built.
