Seiko ad motion control 1986

First time I'd seen this advert that in more years than I can remember.

Funny thing .

I started collecting Seiko 7A38 Quartz chronographs earlier this year.

And that's what the watch featured in this advert is ....

a 7A38-7120 (SAA044J) - Titanium Sports 100 with a cream face.

Picked one up on eBay recently - nice little watch. Still works too !

The various passes that are cross faded because the MoCo gives it the same registration:

- one with long shutter fast-motion (time lapsed) moving pointers.

- various others with different stages of disassembly and dirt over the watches.

When it's well done (and edited)it's invisible, it's only the "magic of time passing fast" over the watches.

It was all done in camera.

The only post production was one dissolve. It created 3 commercials by seamlessly joining one beginning onto three different endings.
