  • Ephesians 5:13But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14for it is light that makes everything visible. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Paul clearly attributes or even equates repentance to resurrecting in Christ.

  • You make a fantastic point I never considered in that Jesus' body never saw decay. Our bodies most certainly decay away. This gives Christ's resurrected physical body unparalleled significance compared to ours. This is how death was conquered in that it never had a chance to conquer Jesus like it does us. This is how are lives are "hidden away in Christ" in that we never truly die when we die physically since our faith is what resurrects us even on the earth. John 8:51, 11:25-26. :)

  • Another good vid. I remember when it hit me one day that 1Cor 15 is not about a physical resurrection whatsoever and that its quite the contrary. It's amazing what a mess preconceptions and traditions will get you into hermeneuticly. When people say this passage refers to a physical resurrection they are saying that death and the grave are not conquered... and if they aren't how can we have a resurrection? The resurrection is the neon sign that death is conquered. Therefore it is spiritual.
