I think all the people complaining about this guy are probably some laborer wanna b operator who dont know shit i am a real operator and you guys better stick to your shovel and let the real operators do there job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he may be a good operator for whats in front of the machine, operators that are good and worth keeping are the ones that can Keep a machine in exellent shape.
heres a little help for those that fail to have the knowledge of how easy it is to keep the counter weight out of any debri of dirt that may be looming at your rear...
1.TURN THE MACHINE AROUND AND LOOK.
2. IF THERE IS SOMETHING THERE, MOVE IT OUT OF THE WAY WITH THE BUCKET THAT IS ATTATCHED TO THE MACHINE!
Im glad you said it, some of these so called operators aint worth a wank, if he is one of there top operators why is he side sweeping with the bucket, I would hate to see what there poor operators are like, and imagine what kind of state the other machines are in??
@rigidsingle please explane what i dont know, im interested in your supposed intelegence. dont leave a comment like this without solid evedence. im waiting.
Muddy, dirty equipment IS NOT The problem. the ignorance of an operator of what may be behind the machine is completly amature, a good maintainance program can do nothing if the operator is not aware of whats behind the machine and only whats in the bucket, sure their is mud splash but only amatures cant clearly see the counterweight was drugged through the mud, there are overflow tubes and other items under the rear of the machine that can be damaged. only a few of you even seem to have a clue.
i dunno why y'all are ragging on the guy running the machine. everyone has their own STYLE of how they run, and as far as the mirrors, they're set properly FOR HIM.
And ooh wow, a machine gets dirty while digging, I've seen equipment buried up over its tracks, and covered in mud. when it got back to the shop it got washed and cleaned.
as long as they guy takes care of his machine, and keeps it in good running condition, i really don't care how dirty he gets it.
soooo there a big debate about the fact that the excavator is dirty while working ? Geezus! really? A piece of digging machinery gets dirty ? This is unacceptable. Clean it with wipes, hot water, lemon and olive oil. And while you're working, if i see one more drop of mud on it, YOU FIRED!
@dkuenzi86 thanks, some people dont have a clue what you are talking about, their are only a few of us that understand there is more to just filling up the bucket. keep up the good work.
If he would put the mirror where it is supposed to be then he just might be able to see if there are any piles getting close. Oh yeah and the mirrors arent just for show.
What is with all the globs of dirt on the counter weight. That is a no no where I work.If the operator is too lazy to look behind him and knock down the piles of dirt in the swing area, then he needs to be back in the ditch.
the guy is steady and smooth enough i d give him a start, you wanna see the romanian job thieves employed in uk wrecking machines and not greasing them broken windows every other day, send those dirty romanians back to there third world country
Seems like a good operator, not bangin n clunking it around like some do, im about to get my first excavator job at 18 and im watching all these vids learning trying to get tips b4 i head out, good operator by the looks.
your all a bunch of retards .... your more than happy to point out the problem .. you don't do anything about it , bla bla bla .you don't even know what is wrong with that exc

inform me. please, mud on the counter weight shows a lack of responcibility, even if it wasnt you, and what do i not know?, the price?, i bought a 330DL in oct of 07 and i paid $320,000, so what do i not know, help me out here!
If you knew what you were talking about you would under stand why a machine would look that way. We were working after a near 6" rain and what we were digging on was was slop. Stuff can splatter up. Our machines are well maintained each and every day tip to bottom. When that machine was taken off of our site it look damn near perfect. With as much as we do building golf courses we can't have an operator hop of the machine any time it gets dirty.
The operator on this machine is one of the best at what he does and makes us ALLOT of money. We don't think how much a machine cost we think of how much money it can make us in its life time, and thats why we have heavy maintenance programs. I don't mean to attack you, your skills, or your knowledge you should understand there is many different types of construction practices.
I am a construction superintendent and have 20+ pieces of machinery, 50+ guys, + subcontractors on a 400acre golf course construction site to look over. I don't have the time to bitch at a great operator over a little mud. He takes care of the machine and he knows he is the one that will have to grease and clean it at the end of every day.
i understand, youre very busy, employees can be very brutal on equipment, even money makers, its just a shame to see brand new machines treated with disrespect even if the operator is good, i bought a 345CL brand new in feb of 07 w 1900hrs and no scratches on the counter weight, why? because my guys understand that if you cant take care of your machine you loose your job, it goes beyond scratches on a machine, if your not aware of where your machine is and its limits are accidents WILL happen
@cotucker why do u let them dig over the final drives... my 8 year old knows not to do that.. big dollars.. turn that beotch around, and save some money..........

Good video. Hard to tell from such a short video but the operator seems smooth, like he's been around equipment a while.
