Ipod Touch has multitouch and apps.

Sony x1000 has an OLED display (great quality), but no multi touch. If you don't want to be the 9th person in a group of 10 who have the Touch, go for the x-1000, or wait for the Zune HD which is gonna be the true opponent of the Touch ;)

Sony know Sound quality. Thats the best in the world lol maybe OTT but i have had a few and they are amazing. You get Good quality headphones too! comapred to some £3 apple earphones which they charge £20 for :O

Ive had this player for about 2 weeks now and im really pleased with it...I bought this mainly for the sound quality as Sony in my opinion has the best sound...BUT..The earphones that come with this player are terrible!...There is no bass..But when i put my old Sony earphones in (which came with the old Sony A818)..The sound is the best ive ever heard on an mp3 player..I just cant understand this!!

is the album scrolling thing the only way to get through the music? i think i saw menus for artist but i cant read the japanese so i dont know. i have kind of turned against apple because i paid them $30 to fix my old touch and they sent it back and said they wont fix it and they wont refund my money. i got an archos but its a piece of shit that already broke three times in a few months. so this is going to be next hopefully. it looks like a great mp3 player and i trust sony.

Tbh i dont think this has anything on the Ipod Touch. The touch screen doesnt look as reponsive or impressive, they have totally ripped off apple with the album scrolling thing. All they have done is turned it around T_T. The sound quailty may be better but the ipod has so much to more offer - one being the app store with a shitload of different shit to play around with. i think the ipod looks a lot more slicker too. From what ive seen it doesnt seemed to match up the ipod, ill have wait and see

haha..omfg...we are using a product that is 1 year ago to compare with this new thing...what a joke....through this, we can see that apple is RLY innovative that even sony cant catch them up 1 year after(i definitely wont buy this shit with like 6-7 apps for 3200 dollars(or around 400 US for the largest gb one)

I totally agree, this is some good competition for the Samsung P3, they both great MP3 players! i had the P2 and it was great, its resolution was also good, but sony has good hardware, system and etc.. so we will have to see how things are gonna turn out, by the way nice background music!

this mp3 player is good, and probaly one of the best out there, good build quality and sound quality.

and it doesnt come with a store because most people either illegaly download(if they have common sense) or purchase the cd.

plus apps are gay, who uses them.

It's in Europe now, Play released it for sale 3 days ago and you can simply drag and drop.. Hopefully this helps you, it's a fantastic player :P
