@Tim733733 Why would you watch a video concerning urban exploration if you thought urban explorers were a "Bunch of weirdos"? You realise that trespassing doesn't cancel out exploring. Do you think when people trespassed on ancient burial grounds they weren't exploring. Trespassing and exploring go hand in hand you nobhead.
Excellent video, well done for keeping calm and for keeping the camera going. Must say the cop with the dog looks and sound like his ego is getting ahead of him. Sorry to say the female cop sounds very uneducated....bit embarrassing really. She would not listen to what you were saying. All in all it does not put them in a good light at all. It could be so different if they were trained better, but with all the cost cutting and not wanting to pay for training and good people, this is what we get.
the arogance of that pig actuly makes me want to rip his fucking jugular out him with my own fucking fingers then stomp on his head till he stoped moving or what they do in 3 guys one hammer!!!
Absolutely brilliant. Well done to the 2 of you for putting that arrogant wanker in charge of the dog in his place. Love how you told him he needed re-training!
@troglurbex Haha, fair enough! I would have been so scared if I were in that situation - arrested on the floor with my face about 4 foot from a dog barking extremely loudly and ready to pounce at the discretion of a police officer who seemed ready to release all hell on you!
Its about the same treatment me and a few others got when we got busted on a crane in Gateshead many years back. The dog handler is defiantly giving it a stronger approach than we got but I dont think he's done anything that would be considered unnecessary force. Fair play to the guys involved though you handled it well and didnt let them intimidate you which seems to have been the reasoning in keeping the dog in the room
Well when there is a half dozen coppers who were trying a to pin a smashed window on you and you are trespassing - you delete them. ha ha. And yes, I had some good recovery software and didn't lose a single shot. But waited six months before posting them. Remember - security companies view urbex sites to see where has been explored! A place I photographed was heavily fenced off shortly after I had posted shots of it.
That dog handler hasn't got a clue, he is more likely to make situations worse if he acts like this all the time, good job you guys were in control of the situation
I got busted at an old asylum with mate! They thought we were stealing pipe and were all set to allow the fur coated razor blade to have us for dinner! It's best to remain calm, be polite and state clearly what you are doing there. If you follow that rule, you usually end up having a good laugh with the officers because everyone relaxes. They still made us format our memory cards though, which was better than a trip down the stairs or a dog tooth jockstrap.
Im an urban explorer and the majority of explorers Ive met are decent people who are just interested in celebrating and documenting our industrial heritage before it disappears forever. I am also an ex-cop and I have to say, I'm ashamed to have ever been part of such a power hungry 'I'm always right and youre always wrong' bunch of arseholes.
@hornydawnee I am also an ex-cop and an avid urbexer. I live abroad now, but I still think the UK police are the best in the world. However, policing has changed somewhat, which is why I got out - disillusionment and all that.
Keep the urbexing up guys!! More the power to you.
@hornydawnee I agree, but it was kinda silly how they kept arguing their innocence right there on the scene. They should have just kept quiet and compliant and saved that for court.
In my honest opinion, I think it just shows how unnecessarily rude that policeman was. He wouldn't listen to you, even after everything had calmed down. He wouldnt shut the dog up to listen to what you had to say even though you couldnt have seemed any more polite.
@28turk but thats irrelevant in that situation. From the police point of view, there was 2 unknown characters acting dodgey in an animal testing lab. What you gonna thing, your definitely gonna take all precautions. What happen next though is down to debate.
@dempsey088 There were two unknown characters, in handcuffs and sat on the floor after surrendering themselves with no arguments or obstruction, and having calmly explained their reason for being there.
Awesome stuff, well handled guys - (explorers that is) calm and collected. Police weren't too bad, but then the police on the scene usually are compared to the idiots at the station lol
Exploring? You mean trespassing. Bunch of weirdos.

I often wonder how I'd react if I'm caught, I only hope I'm half as calm as you both were!

Someone who is using a dog as a tool / weapon then asking "are you some sort of animal rights" needs to look in the mirror....

Someone shoot that f*cking dog, or at least get it the f*ck out of there, they are FOUND, CUFFED and CALM, the dog part of the arrest is OVER!
helinophoto 1 month ago
Not really an over reaction is it? They didn't know that you were simply exploring, they treated you with the potential that you were stealing.

Great video, I understand how the police reacted at first, but when things calmed there was no need for him to keep ranting.
Also, try to put in the transcribe audio feature, it's hilarious.

Well done on keeping the camera rolling, always seems to be a good tactic to utilise so the Police can't manipulate the facts to their advantage.

if I was there, I would have kicked that dog in the face for not shutting the fuck up;
however, glad you stood your ground the whole way through - urban explorers tend to know the law a hell of a lot better than the police do
