i want to start parkour in england and im 15. me and my friend have been doing it recently but hes not always available. is it wierd for me to just run around doing parkour by myself? im scared people will say 'what a @;'#';./m when they see me :(
@RC367 i know that feeling! i´m 15 too but i am german (half american) but if my friend who is training me a little bit idont go outside and do it on my own! I only do strentgh training for parkour at home!

guys! you should be sportive if you want to start parkour...
at first try to have a health and trained body... then learn the basics...
this video:
not bad for the start ... good that you can already do flips... and in the start of the video you can see that the traceur has much power and mucles to "climb" up at the playground^^
you're right about the health and trained body. I played several years soccer (and other teamsports), so it was a good "starting pack".
the flips yeah, not a part of parkour but nice to do it ;-). and i like ironic comments, keep it up :)!
unfortunately, I got some bad insuries (thx soccer...) and have to stop training parkour (and other sports for a while). but for all who want to start: go ahead and do it!
Great job man. Just watch your landings and rolls (btw cool twist around). Oh, and frontflips? You be looking at freerunning, not parkour. Big difference.
amasing all the americans that see videos and just assume the person in it is also american...lives in their area, and is desperate to help them. its nuts
aight, so it has to be your roll technique! practice as often as you can and if it hurts, stop! wait a day 'cause your body is the most important thing to do parkour!
never thought about doing rolls in the snow. is that a good way to help learn how to do them? i'm still sucking at getting my rolls to be smooth, so maybe that would help
Nice, stuff for a first video. One thing I would suggest is stay away from Big drops. You should build those up over time. Also, check out Urban Current for tuts. to perfect your kongs, vaults even more. Cheers!
thx for your critic. i know that I have to train my kongs and vaults, thats something everyone can see in this vid. and about the big drops, they aren't as big as it seems :D
i did it on this small trashcan but pretty high, and i put my arms on it and put my legs outside my arms. lol. it was a small on but tall so i couldn't really spread my arms much...
ok don't wear jeans EVER when doing parkour. wear shorts or sweatpants, and learn to roll before anything. now I see this video was added a year ago. like other dudes said don't go out and think it's willy nilly Jump from roofs instantly. you also have to have the philosophy, be fluid, and train hard, bra
the biggest lesson. dont jump from higher grounds the your hip. It is because the first 1-2 years your body can´t resist damages that will happen if you jump too much. Stay save and gebin without higher grounds. Parkour are not jump from a higher level...Parkour are passing obstacles.
find like an old school playground or a playground in general, heck even a group of rails or somthing, thats what i'm doing, just climbing around, trying to strengthen up, although i do need to lift weights >.>
is it just me or did the video rewind itself alot
encue2k9 5 months ago
@encue2k9 you're right. at the time of making this video i didn't have much film material so i have to rewind - sorry for that

with training is everything possible - that's my opinion
ruuschchoogele 2 years ago
look... when i roll my back pains! what i can do?
practise?
alexeidig 2 years ago
does it hurts only when you roll?
you should practice the roll for long, even I still practice it every week. that's more than necessary for me with my knees.
ruuschchoogele 2 years ago
yes when i roll. end sometimes my shoulder!
alexeidig 2 years ago
aight, so it has to be your roll technique! practice as often as you can and if it hurts, stop! wait a day 'cause your body is the most important thing to do parkour!

same did I, until a little bike-accident :D but it's definitly a good way to practice, if you don't fear some cold snow on your back ;-)

Your kongs were a little um... not so good. but you look like you got some decent rolls going on.
try and work on the transition between the front flip to the roll.
maulerfranco666 2 years ago
Noobish. How many times are you gonna show a frontflip in the snow? Big deal.
