  • Nice I want That Stuff

  • Too much money for this . Theres other turbines at half the cost for the same 4kw power. keep shoping this is not the best ofer. And no info at how it works nor do you get any pictures of the componets?

  • @prototype2020 We do encourage our customers to compare several turbines, and we believe ours is priced very competitively for its quality! Keep in mind this is the only small wind turbine in the U.S. with a certified power curve too, so you can rest assured it will perform as expected.

  • In 2 months this will be on my house !! And fritopanpan... its $ 30,000...

  • Thank you for your comments @HomeWindTurbines7 and @slickyb. To elaborate on the topic, vertical axis turbines have indeed been shown to operate very well under numerous conditions. In areas with turbulent winds, for instance, or locations where the wind changes directions often, VAWTs are better able to grasp the energy in the wind due to their omni-directionality. Our 4 kW turbine, seen above, operates at only 120 RPM, which allows it to operate with minimum vibration and noise production.

  • These turbines have a major technical drawback, as they catch wilnd with one side, the other has to push against the same wind. No matter how aerodynamic, the laws of physics and mechanics dictate this will never harness as much power as a real rooftop wind turbine. See how much wind on the ground blowing weeds, yet it hardly turns at all. There's not much power there compared to a horizontal rooftop wind turbine.

  • Clearly you haven't read the study that showed helical darrius vawts can be as efficient as horizontal axis, or even more so. Sure, half the time the blades go against the wind, but in half they go with the wind - horizontal axis types are always perpendicular to it.

HAWTs and VAWTs both have strengths and for both the higher the wind and the lower the turbulence the better it will perform. This VAWT has a rated RPM of about 100 which is why it is turning slowly - also why it is so quiet!

  • How much for this turbine ?

  • @herkemer79

i´d like to know how much is this ...
