  • Neat video! nice K5LA

  • Why are there two head-end P42's, one rear-end P42, one Cascades Cabbage, and an F59PHI? Isn't that a BIT overpowered?

  • Thats one hell of a consist!

  • is there a reason why none of those cars have the word SUPERLINER on them ?

  • Most of the rebuilt ones had it removed and they just have the Amtrak logo

  • The newer Phase IVb scheme has the Superliner name in very small lettering on the blue stripe on one end of each car. You can't see it unless you're right next to one.

  • ah ! Thanks ! :-)

  • there PH5, not PH4

  • @joshmeister4449 The paint scheme on most of the Superliners are known as Phase IVb, because it's not really Phase V paint, it's a modified version of Phase IV with the added FRA red striping.

  • I wouldnt mind being part of a switch crew in portland :)

  • Why is the F59PHI Towing the Coast Starlight

  • They were just using the F59 to switch some cars around and they transfered a P42 off wich is train 28 the Empire builder onto Cascades train 508.

  • 1:29, is that a WHISTLE?

  • No it's a radio antenna.

  • No ,thats callled a "firecracker" antenna

  • Nice. I love how the conductor almost forgot his radio. Andrew you could have had some fun with one of those :)

  • I already have one.

  • Cool video!!

  • why did he have such a problem with the switch? get out there and show him how its done andrew LOL
