@905Justin1 listen bud, if you wanna post a video of yourself singing this song and we all compare how it sounds next to his voice, then go right ahead. But until you do that just stfu and go back to the music you like if you don't enjoy this.
Lol...Music is subjective bro! A song can mean a million different things to a million different people, it's all about what you get out of it. So you may beleive it to be whiny, and someone else(me) may believe the opposite. Who is right? We both are, can you wrap you head around that one?
I'm a Canadian. And I like a lot of the music that comes out of our country. But I don't really get it when people say they're "proud" to be Canadian. I mean, it's pretty random that I was born here, I could've been born in India or Kazakhstan or something. I feel lucky to have been born here, don't get me wrong. But I'm proud of what I've personally accomplished in my life, not vicariously through what other Canadians have achieved. Canadian bands don't make me "proud". Anyways, HR! rocks.

"I'm sorry this is it, it's cold and hard and badly lit. And there's no backin out of it. So forget where you've been... it'll never be that good again... and we must only look ahead. And soon you're 33, and everything you tried to be, is pulled apart by fear and greed... may young hands build you up! They carve your face in honest rock, while sun light on your oval jaw. May young hands build you up... I'm happy that you've come along.. i'm happy that you've come.
Hey Rosetta! played at the Hip concert on Canada Day, and I didn't mind that I'd missed them because I'd never heard of them... Now that I've heard this song, I'm kicking myself for having missed it.
@AmuZah I'm not talking about their mainstream songs like "Human" or "Somebody Told Me" but I definitely see a resemblance in songs like "Daddy's Eyes", "A Dustland Fairytale", and "When You Were Young". And I'm not saying that Hey Rosetta! is a carbon-copy of The Killers. They have their differences, such as having violin and cello. But they both have that depth to their lyrics and they both have unique vocalists.
lol that is a pretty empty comment "they both have depth to their lyrics and both have unique vocalists" that is pretty much true of any good band hahahaha you must not know that much about good music you must be stuck listening to the radio and youtube.... go out to your local scene, there are great artists everywhere.
@TheInfiniteSolution Sam Roberts Band, Tokyo Police Club, Tragically Hip, Arcade Fire, Metric, The Midway State, Mobile, Wintersleep, Chad Vangaalen, Hot Hot Heat, Mother Mother, Broken Social Scene, The Dears, Stars, Crystal Castles, City And Colour.... Plenty more, but that should be enough to get you started.
Heard them on 91.3 the Zone, their bassist(?) was on for an interview and mentioned that this song was written for one of the band members Goddaughter when she was born. I liked the song before, but for some reason that made me love it.
I know this, the 102.1 the edge plays it. i love being canadian!

Please help me. This video is a song from a new Brazilian band. In the opinion of you they plagiarized the "Hey Rosetta"?
