  • I know this, the 102.1 the edge plays it. i love being canadian!

  • 3:00 love that build!

  • @905Justin1 Then don't listen to their songs on youtube... lol

  • @905Justin1 listen bud, if you wanna post a video of yourself singing this song and we all compare how it sounds next to his voice, then go right ahead. But until you do that just stfu and go back to the music you like if you don't enjoy this.

  • "..you've got your mother's eyes, you've got your daddy's head.."

i knew it. THIS SONG IS ABOUT HARRY POTTER!

  • @hawakinata Don't bring children's books into this....

  • @hawakinata HAHA. I always think about HP when I hear this song, I'm glad I'm not the only one.

  • They're Canadian!? So exciting! <3333

  • @905Justin1 No.

  • @TeaZiiee what do you mean NO? there is no disputing the fact they are whiny sounding

  • @905Justin1 Why do you focus on their whiny singing (which, doesn't exist, actually) when there are amazing lyrics?

  • @TeaZiiee amazing lyrics? haha....they're whiny just listen to his voice

  • @905Justin1

Lol...Music is subjective bro! A song can mean a million different things to a million different people, it's all about what you get out of it. So you may beleive it to be whiny, and someone else(me) may believe the opposite. Who is right? We both are, can you wrap you head around that one?

  • @KroniklyCanuck the tone of his voice is whiny whats not to get...unless you are tone deaf

  • @905Justin1 Did you troll this video because no-one loves you?

  • @seanyboy03 no i trolled it to get responses from pussies like you

  • @905Justin1 not cool bro, hey rosetta rocks!

  • 102.1 XD

  • I'm a Canadian. And I like a lot of the music that comes out of our country. But I don't really get it when people say they're "proud" to be Canadian. I mean, it's pretty random that I was born here, I could've been born in India or Kazakhstan or something. I feel lucky to have been born here, don't get me wrong. But I'm proud of what I've personally accomplished in my life, not vicariously through what other Canadians have achieved. Canadian bands don't make me "proud". Anyways, HR! rocks.

  • I love Canadian music. Thank you Canada for this band, City & Colour, Tokyo Police Club, and many other fantastic artists.

  • my favourite part is at 1:50-2:55

  • @TehTriKzHD its my favorite part as well

  • /BreatheRadio i'll be waiting

  • "I'm sorry this is it, it's cold and hard and badly lit. And there's no backin out of it. So forget where you've been... it'll never be that good again... and we must only look ahead. And soon you're 33, and everything you tried to be, is pulled apart by fear and greed... may young hands build you up! They carve your face in honest rock, while sun light on your oval jaw. May young hands build you up... I'm happy that you've come along.. i'm happy that you've come.

  • @hypur I think its noble jaw not oval jaw

  • @Shep11111 noble jaw indeed

  • GONNA BE AN UNCLE.

  • I have a 12 day old son and this song calls to me almost everytime I look at him. Thank you Hey Rosetta

  • Truly beautiful song, this band will exceed all expectations and take the world by strom..im calling it now

  • I saw them last night in Halifax, they took my breath away once again. Everyone in this city loves this band!

  • THAT'S IT

    I'M MOVING TO CANADA

  • loving newfoundland's own Hey Rosetta :) proud to be from nfld!

  • edge

  • oh canada

  • Every time I turn on the radio it says WELCOME, and I think this song is on the radio. The realization that it isn't is SO upsetting.

  • @MonsieurBlockhead

    It is in Ontario!

  • Hey Rosetta! played at the Hip concert on Canada Day, and I didn't mind that I'd missed them because I'd never heard of them... Now that I've heard this song, I'm kicking myself for having missed it.

  • @chinagurlstokes Same.

  • @chinagurlstokes ahhh they were so good at the hip concert!

  • Best song of 2011 so far imo. Love it. <3

  • Canada is selfish, the country has some of the best bands in the world but they keep the songs to themselves. Come on canada get with it!!!!!!!

  • @themaplelimey You guys get first pick at everything else ;) we'll make you wait a bit lol

  • and thats how we do it in the great white north.

  • @weathermaker91 these guys are from the maritimes I think

  • @Hamgammy yup,

  • who would dislike this?

  • Amazing band. Go Canada!

  • <3

  • Beautiful.

  • how is this video only at 35,000 plays? I had to search hard to find it, way too good of a song!

  • love it

  • looove it

  • wow this only has 30,000 views.... more people hear this on the radio every day.

  • Canada are the kings of indie rock

  • @HeyThereLittleMouse

    Totally agreed

  • @HeyThereLittleMouse fuckin right we are !

  • Hey Rosetta! is like the Canadian version of The Killers.

Amazing voice and melodies + deep lyrics.

    Proud to be Canadian!!

  • @DannyYannyYan I don't see the resemblance at all. I'm sorry.

  • @AmuZah I'm not talking about their mainstream songs like "Human" or "Somebody Told Me" but I definitely see a resemblance in songs like "Daddy's Eyes", "A Dustland Fairytale", and "When You Were Young". And I'm not saying that Hey Rosetta! is a carbon-copy of The Killers. They have their differences, such as having violin and cello. But they both have that depth to their lyrics and they both have unique vocalists.

  • @DannyYannyYan But I mean, that can pretty much apply to any indie band out there hehe.

  • @DannyYannyYan

lol that is a pretty empty comment "they both have depth to their lyrics and both have unique vocalists" that is pretty much true of any good band hahahaha you must not know that much about good music you must be stuck listening to the radio and youtube.... go out to your local scene, there are great artists everywhere.

  • @DannyYannyYan Not too sure about that buddy. Killers are more pop-rock. these guys are driven more by folk-influences.

  • THX X92.9! great song

  • Beautiful.

  • 2:58

    love it

  • Canada has some great bands that need to be recognized by a wider range if listeners. Proud to be Canadian

  • @stevenneufeld you tell them!!!!! FUCKIN CANADIAN!
