Actually, you can. It just depends. Older 80GB models are fully capable of playing PS2 games. Newer 80GB models had that function removed to cut costs which is why they're around $100 than the first 80GB PS3s.

Yes completely safe! final release should be done now! i think it is better than ubu 7.10 which i am currently running because of ram issues with ubu on ps3...i actually booted winmugen via qemu in ubu and the speed was crap vid coming soon....so megabox looking great for my ps3 mugen plans....

technically speaking yes. the PS3 has 256MB XDR ram. And 256MB of GDDR3 which is used for video. The 360 has 512MB of GDDR3. And a wimpy 10MB of vram. The 360 does not have to use 256MB for video. Linux doesn't need 256MB for video. Thats all I was saying. It potentially has twice as much ram. And the 360 is NOT 4 times slower. The PS3 can perform 1.7 TFLOPS. And the 360 can perform 1 TFLOP. but your the noob for misusing the word.

I tried to burn it on a DVD+RW that whas already burned so the speed was 4X. And i have it on a cd and still the same problem. Did you compile the otheros.bld. Perhaps i've seen that you can download the image or you can compile it by your own.

well as for compiling i had no time for that..i did this sleepy at like 2am...but of course as with any linux build you can compile what you specifically want (since this "linux" never actually replaces ps3 os this is interesting to me) but i used the straight up isos i also used dvd rw maxwell and dvd+r sony I burned at max (always burn live cd's at high speed!) I wouldn't break ur head on i think I will post newer versions of this software here so stay tuned...

There is not much I can post. I am so busy in my new position at ibm and in truth this is a very barebones beta. With that said I do see alot of potential for 2 major things. 1 ps3 dump to ps3 hd/iso loading and PS3 mugen. I plan on making efforts will keep you posted....
