THANKS FOR POSTING THIS!! I have a 71 RIV in Red,a basic model, but mine only has about 18,000 miles on it. These cars are sheer beauty in motion and look like they are speeding even when parked. Mine has always been garaged, for over 30 years I know of. I was told by some Buick fans that mine is probably THE LOWEST MILEAGE 1971 fastback Riviera in the world that is an unrestored, unaltered, car with documented ownership and miles.Anybody know of an unrestored,all original with under 18K miles?

Hi Naseem. WOW THAT'S SO COOL! You posted great pics of your Custom 240 Nissan. PLEASE post the Riviera as well.
LOTS of guys would love to see that car! So far, EVERY 71 Riv with a lower speedo than mine had "spun the diaL" once, like 115k MILES, or it had a rebuilt engine or it was fully restored or customized so they reset the speedo. NONE had documented proof of lower original miles (like State reg. or inspection) and were still all original (no add-ons). We would LOVE to see yours here.

A 71 Riv is posted on YOUTUBE (1971 Riviera Boatail unrestored 27K) that made it to TV because it is "unrestored" AND LOW MILES. IT has an added tach on the console. When that gets removed it will not be "unrestored", but with it there it is NOT ALL ORIGINAL. Kind of funny :-)
One guy said he had a Riv with "14k miles" but it had heel wear in the carpet and a torn driver seat. I had to laugh

have pics of them anywhere, didnt mean anything by that comment, i just love the older era of cars, there built with steel, 455 v-8 huh, fast and always in style, peace.
