I find the 'wahabi' label is usually thrown by people from the Brelvi sect to disrespect other muslims that do not agree to what they say. I would think people would hesitate to use the term because of it resemblance with the name of Allah, Al Wahab, which is one of Allah's 99 beautiful names.
Prophets can make mistakes unintentionally, they are human. It is only Allah, our Lord who NEVER errs NOR forgets (see 20:52)
In ch18,23-24, God delayed revelation because the prophet FORGOT to say "Inshallah" when the non-believers came to ask certain questions given by the Jews.

"Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle."
Deedat wrote a book called "Muhammad: the Greatest". We know what he was trying to say. never was nothing malicious in what he said.
Everybody can make mistakes, humans arent infallable, only Allah is. We admit even Prophet Muhammad pbuh sometimes made mistakes (choosing the lesser of two allowed actions) and Allah would correct him. Like the time when a blind man interrupted the prophet when he was giving dawah to a non-believer. The prophet disliked the interruption and frowned at him (ch80).
Nope! you are a fool! The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) did not make any mistakes. The situation with the blind man was not a mistake, in no way was it ever a mistake... What u did is wrong too, call some1 a kafir and doubt his faith is none of our business its between him and God. I am a Muslim frm Indonesia, and i'm very proud to have a courage n knowledgeble person like Ahmed Deedat.I hope there are another Imam or Muslim Scolars to be brave like him to do syiar Islam around the world. Amin!
exactly my brother and if you say that this verse is corrupt then the whole bible could be corrupt but if you accept the words of jesus then muhammad truely is a prophet of god :) Peace

Ahmad Deedat is WRONG!
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was NEVER just an ordinary man. He is the greatest creation of God before Adam and even till this day.
He is the most trustworthy, pious, humble, kind, sincere, honest, and perfect creation of Allah.
HOW DARE HE call him just an ordinary person.
THIS IS KUFR! and against Islam!

Speaking in phrases is not a slip of the tongue... But I do hope that he regrets what he had said, and did not make the same mistake again!
What I know is that he said something very wrong! And as Muslims, we should be very careful when talking about the Prophet Muhammad PBUH!
Also I did not call him a kaffir. I called his action Kufr. There is a difference!

according to that verse then Muhammed has to be a prophet. so i either have to agree that verse is corrupt or Muhammed is a prophet.
