This is a combination of Lego RCX(NXT?)'s and Lego RIS's, along with a whole truckload of other parts. The NXT and RIS are small computer-like devices (the rectangular features with a screen you see. RIS is usually black and yellow themed, NXT is rather greyish. The package comes with the RIS/NXT, a set of parts, and a few basic chassis' to get you started. You program the bot via your PC.
B.t.w this is simply AWESOME! Whoever did this, i'd like to meet you XD
does the system ever get backed up or clogged? what did you do to intitially start the machine? did you just dump all of the balls in at once or slowly add more and more. or did you put them in several spots at once? whats the longest youve let it run? do you ever notice a pattern emerge from the balls? (like getting sorted to seperate colors and back to chaos again)
are system like this pre-manufactured and pre-designed and all you have to do in the end is assemble it or is the whole shit custon built from scratch without any guide and plans?
@brperf Yeah i could imagine! Ive used lego mindstorms before and i cant even dream of having enough pieces and parts to build something like that. Although in my engineering class right now we are using this stuff called Fischer Techniks and they are pretty awesome, especially for building similar things.
WISH I WERE SO SMART TO MADE THIS DAMMT :(

Based on the fact that it is all on tatami mats, I'd assume the architect was either in Japan, and possibly Japanese.
