in crysis you just look at the enviroment and nothing more but crysis 2 didnt have a good story...and crysis had,this is hard to choise who is better......dont dislike this this is my opinion

You have to be a little bit more serious and less dynamic in Crysis 2 but in Crysis 1 the enemies are everywhere and they are way more dynamic! They try to flank you, call the rest of their squad to bring you down together and they can communicate with each other.
Crysis 1 was indeed better in graphics and gameplay, however there are some features in Crysis 2 that could've made Crysis 1 better. For example: stealth kills, suit modules, ability to shoot without uncloaking and special weapons not replacing inventory weapons. Crysis 1 also has power struggle, the best online game mode to ever exist. Crysis 2, doesn't. Who else was disappointed at this?
they made crysis 2 in new york because they wanted to change the place ... they said that is better to see something else than just vegetation ... so they changed it ... and crysis 2 is 10,000 better than crysis 1 ... i played both ... today i`ve finished crysis 2 ... and now im playing multiplayer ...

I actually made the game harder for myself, all the previews said the game would have adaptive armor that "Fit into your playstyle" So naturally i went pure stealth and no armor so i could get a stealth adaption. And figured out that is was just a bunch of bull. Second playthrough was fun as hell though

@DEFECTX9 Crysis 2 actually has much worse graphics when compared to the first. This is because the second one was developed for consoles, so they had to dumb it down so that the consoles could run it.

Crysis 2 is made for consoles, and it ran much better on my average computer than Crysis 1 does, thats just because it has so much worse graphics as its optimized for consoles. Also Crysis 1 has huge open area when this is middle of ugly boring New York.

@Pvjinflight Crysis 1 was fun and graphics were amazing but even Crytek admitted that compared to Crysis 2, Crysis 1 is outdated. Crysis 2 Has Many Levels were you have tons of freedom to do what you want.
@DEFECTX9 I have played them both so I know that Crysis 1 has more freedom. With its editor you can build completely open island of any kind, something that isnt possible with Crysis 2 and its urban environment. Default levels are not open at all, you just run in a tunnel.

@gravityhammer25 Oh, my bad. But its not really an emulator in the classical sense. Also, Direct X doesn't really have much to do with how good a game looks. Its just a library. Now it is true that when DX10 came out, most games were at the design limit for DX9.
I have only played the MP demo for Crysis 2 and not the full game though Ive seen the game played on the XBOX 360.
It seems as though there are a few things where Crysis 2 really falls short on the first Crysis.
The most obvious thing is the sand box, however given that you are in a urban area its not going to be as free and open as the first. It does sound as if the textures resolutions are lower on 2 then 1.
I think the biggest gripe has to do with it being a console port.
crysis 2 is missing something all the crysis fans love....the beutiful vegetation, you can go pretty much anywhere, its a wider gameplay, but crysis 2 has to many buildings, also, i hate that enemies in crysis 2 just keep coming out of no where after you killed everyone in that area
I JUST finnished Crysis 2 and i must say, Crysis 1 / crysis warhead was much much better.
I found Crysis 2 quite boring in fact. You just follow a Straight path to your target then your done with that level. Not to mention in Crysis 1 you can peck up crab's on the beach and trow them at enemies, now that's funny.
I personally preferred the setting of crysis 1 (a jungle) as for the city... its so overused, i mean cod, battlefield, halo, almost every game uses built up areas but crysis was renowned for its vegitation, in crysis 2 the vegitation seems worse than in no1, i think the cryengine 3 has the potential to look amazingly better than other games out there but currently i have to say metro 2033 had better graphics than crysis 2...
i have played 3....dont know there may be a few more....but as much as i know there is not.....yes the story almost goes in order excepting a few times when there arises some questions, the answers of which i could not find out.....i could not find exactly what happened to psycho,nomad.....why the ns 2 was not given to psycho....but overall i really enjoyed crysis 2...
personally i found crysis 2 to be graphically superior over the other two...i did not expect an open world in the city which never sleeps...for me there was enough to do in the city n i found plenty of room to move around.... . the only thing that i do not like in crysis 2 is the movement of trees and the inside of water when i am dipped in it...
i have played crysis,crysis warhead,n crysis 2...what i found,each one has drawbacks..in crysis,the alien levels are just annoying n i was fighting with them,just to finish the level....in warhead,almost everything is good bt for me it had a bit short length campaign....but it was absolutely fun....in crysis 2,the first few levels are very tough since u don't have an upgraded suit n after finishing such a huge number of enemies u will lack the epic feeling when the game ends...IMO warhead>2>1

One thing which i LOVED in crysis 1 was the ability to destroy buildings... getting a ton of enemies into a house and blowing it up with c4 made my day, and when crysis 1 got modded... oh yeah, TAC gun!

Only got a PC recently that could run Crysis 1 and 2 at maximum levels. Played through both one after the other and it's not even close. I enjoyed Crisis 2 but Crisis 1 is clearly superior just because of the sheer scale of the game. Anyone who has played both would surely agree. If Crisis 2 was PC only it would have been much better. Crisis 1 is epic.
@GHPhenomGod Fallout 3 is piss-easy, especially when compared to New Vegas. At least in New Vegas I can actually get OUTGUNNED.
That being said the difficulty in New Vegas is still piss-easy, so that's not saying much. And it also doesn't help that the writing in Fallout 3 is godawful and the plot is even worse. Fallout New Vegas is actually Fallout, and the plot actually connects to the older Fallout games.

I'm playing crysis 2 ATM and for what i been experiencing i can say that:
- C1 has bigger maps and is not linear at all
- C2 has MORE guns and some of them are so fucking epic
- C2 has sightly better graphics no doubt about that
- C2 has better gameplay IMO
- C1 you really can spend 10 minutes (or more)driving vehicles,unlike C2 that you use them just for little times.
- The story in both games are great, even though I really didn't like the fact that the main protagonist doesn't speak in C2

Most likely the only thing from microsoft on his computer is windows 7, and he may use linux, his processor is probably intel or amd, his gpu is probably nvidia or radeon. @ast0f I sort of agree, but graphics don't make a game good. plus crysis can't compete with the completely destructible environment on the scale that battlefield 3 does. I dislike crysis 2 because of the linear mission progression and consolized controls.

@DEFECTX9 Crysis 2 actually has much worse graphics when compared to the first. This is because the second one was developed for consoles, so they had to dumb it down so that the consoles could run it.

@DEFECTX9 No it doesnt, Crysis 1 totally kills Crysis 2 in graphics. Crysis 2 is made for consoles, and it ran much better on my average computer than Crysis 1 does, thats just because it has so much worse graphics as its optimized for consoles. Also Crysis 1 has huge open area when this is middle of ugly boring New York.

@DEFECTX9 Not on extreme, but still high. Anyway im getting really fast PC with Radeon 6990 in few weeks, then I can try it. And still I think that gameplay itself is much more boring in Crysis 2 than in Crysis 1 because Crysis 1 gives you more freedom to move.

@Pvjinflight Crysis 1 was fun and graphics were amazing but even Crytek admitted that compared to Crysis 2, Crysis 1 is outdated. Crysis 2 Has Many Levels were you have tons of freedom to do what you want.

@DEFECTX9 I have played them both so I know that Crysis 1 has more freedom. With its editor you can build completely open island of any kind, something that isnt possible with Crysis 2 and its urban environment. Default levels are not open at all, you just run in a tunnel.

Central Station,Power Out,Dead Man Walking,Graveyard, and A Walk In The Park are just some of the Free roam open Sandbox levels.

Blame EA for forcing Crytek to develop Crysis 2 for consoles which resulted in the limitations compared to the first Crysis for the sake of gathering some extra bucks from the ravenous Call of Duty console crowd. It ain't the Xbox 360's or the Playstation 3's fault that EA forced Crytek to make a game that betrayed it's original loyal fanbase of PC Gamers.

@gravityhammer25 Oh, my bad. But its not really an emulator in the classical sense. Also, Direct X doesn't really have much to do with how good a game looks. Its just a library. Now it is true that when DX10 came out, most games were at the design limit for DX9.

I have only played the MP demo for Crysis 2 and not the full game though Ive seen the game played on the XBOX 360.
It seems as though there are a few things where Crysis 2 really falls short on the first Crysis.
The most obvious thing is the sand box, however given that you are in a urban area its not going to be as free and open as the first. It does sound as if the textures resolutions are lower on 2 then 1.
I think the biggest gripe has to do with it being a console port.

crysis 2 is missing something all the crysis fans love....the beutiful vegetation, you can go pretty much anywhere, its a wider gameplay, but crysis 2 has to many buildings, also, i hate that enemies in crysis 2 just keep coming out of no where after you killed everyone in that area

I JUST finnished Crysis 2 and i must say, Crysis 1 / crysis warhead was much much better.
I found Crysis 2 quite boring in fact. You just follow a Straight path to your target then your done with that level. Not to mention in Crysis 1 you can peck up crab's on the beach and trow them at enemies, now that's funny.

I personally preferred the setting of crysis 1 (a jungle) as for the city... its so overused, i mean cod, battlefield, halo, almost every game uses built up areas but crysis was renowned for its vegitation, in crysis 2 the vegitation seems worse than in no1, i think the cryengine 3 has the potential to look amazingly better than other games out there but currently i have to say metro 2033 had better graphics than crysis 2...

personally i found crysis 2 to be graphically superior over the other two...i did not expect an open world in the city which never sleeps...for me there was enough to do in the city n i found plenty of room to move around.... . the only thing that i do not like in crysis 2 is the movement of trees and the inside of water when i am dipped in it...

i have played crysis,crysis warhead,n crysis 2...what i found,each one has drawbacks..in crysis,the alien levels are just annoying n i was fighting with them,just to finish the level....in warhead,almost everything is good bt for me it had a bit short length campaign....but it was absolutely fun....in crysis 2,the first few levels are very tough since u don't have an upgraded suit n after finishing such a huge number of enemies u will lack the epic feeling when the game ends...IMO warhead>2>1

One thing which i LOVED in crysis 1 was the ability to destroy buildings... getting a ton of enemies into a house and blowing it up with c4 made my day, and when crysis 1 got modded... oh yeah, TAC gun!

well this is my opinion i think crysis 2 had a better gameplay than crysis 1 but the environement in Crysis 2 is much more linear than in crysis 1 and the graphics are the same in my opinion (also the graphics arent very important in a game in my opinion)

Only got a PC recently that could run Crysis 1 and 2 at maximum levels. Played through both one after the other and it's not even close. I enjoyed Crisis 2 but Crisis 1 is clearly superior just because of the sheer scale of the game. Anyone who has played both would surely agree. If Crisis 2 was PC only it would have been much better. Crisis 1 is epic.

@GHPhenomGod Fallout 3 is piss-easy, especially when compared to New Vegas. At least in New Vegas I can actually get OUTGUNNED.
That being said the difficulty in New Vegas is still piss-easy, so that's not saying much. And it also doesn't help that the writing in Fallout 3 is godawful and the plot is even worse. Fallout New Vegas is actually Fallout, and the plot actually connects to the older Fallout games.
