By the way I like the singigstyle. Kind of like a forlorn NIN style which is saying a lot. The vocal should be centered though? How long does it take to build a SIM like that? I tried setting one up on my own PC but couldn't figure out the tech issues but I will have to try again since it's amazing what one could get up to.
That's freaking amazing when you can use your SIM with that amount of control mixing all those media like that. Something like that on the big screen or a IMAX would blow people away don't you think?
I find that some people really "get it", and it's mainly people that are artist or have a background in art. For my virtual sims, i probably get about 10-20 people a day ... which is decent traffic ... but it's not massive. I've been reading about filiming in higher rez formats ... i'll take your sugestion ... maybe put I will put it on a dvd ... and see how people react ? Thanks for the sugestion Fuz ;)
The other bonus to recording at 1024x768 is if it looks good you can leave it at that size. Of course the smaller format means you should be able to record higher FPS in SL and the file sizes are smaller for your HD and editor. Know real draw back since if you check the video I did on your SIM called Mutiny in the HD version it looks real nice...but of course I'm biased...lol
If you watch a spyvspyaeon vid he uses a huge format (1280x480) Machinima from SL. Looks beautiful however is hard on a PC depending on the SIM etc. So generally I now film at 1024x768. Then in my editor Vegas I can set the Project settings at 1280x480. Right click the film clips and go to properties and uncheck "maintain aspect ratio". That stretches the 1024x768 clip to 1280x480. It can really give a dramatic look especially avatars. And softens the pictures somewhat which is a bonus.
I'm doing this is a series, so feel free to comment on what worked for you. I've been oscillating on how having the dialog in the top left corner ... for the next one ... i'm thinking of integrating the dialog more. also i think my rl/sl images are not folded enough ... so i'm thinking of merging realities a bit more.
Fabulous!!!!!!!!!! Totally relaxing ...and inspirational... Love your work.......

I always adore your soothing voice. Captioning will be great. The fog adds drama. The music is well thought. I really enjoyed this short film.
