this man s heart and soul belongs to Anatolia, i'm from Gemlik (Kios) and my late grandfather would al too well tell stories about the greeks in his village, which were a majority then. i too miss Anatolia s and Istanbul s greeks.
FUCK WAR !!!!!!!!!!!! HEY COSTA HEY COSTA FROM CARAMAN HEY ERDOGAN FROM RIZE MACKA TRAPEZUNDA TARE DOWN THIS WALL !!!! PEACE IN THE AEGIAN REGION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We (at least people with some education and above decent IQ of Turkey) know how bad the loss is... the situation at those times perhaps demanded such actions... nevertheless, it is sad that Turkey lost that colorful ethical background... especially the Greeks... O Turkos Mangas...
You just said what i was thinking..what a loss of a rich culture from anatolia..all greek, armenian and more..it is such a big loss.funny the turks never maybe understand it as a loss..
... now we have two nations accusing each other of "stealing" one's "own" songs, the very songs they were singing together in Izmir and Thessaloníki 90 years ago.

Losing the Anatolian Greeks (& Armenians) was one of the most catastrophic things to happen to modern Turkey. The multi-ethnicity of the cosmopolitan cities on both sides is lost, and with it the beautiful lifestyle, the humanity, the tolerance...
The loss of multi-ethnicity is one of the most important causes of chauvinism, fascism and intolerance on both sides of the Aegean today. This also makes it difficult for Turkey to deal with its current minority issues in a proper, humane way...
I hope all Greeks from Turkey come back one ay a the new government pass the law which ables them to settle back in Turkey. We just missed them a lot. Regardless what some stupid villagers write here, they are not forgotten
