I am not in any way saying this is easy, but it isn't anything anti-gravitational or anything like that. My friends do one handed pumps like this all the time, its called being tall and having large hands and being able to easily palm the basketball.

If you can hold a basketball in one hand at your sides and are decent at basketball than you can probably pull this off in a game with your friends too.

He jumped up, the defender jumped up to block it, but he pumped back, hung in the air, the defender came down, MJ was still in the air when he decided to shoot the pill.
