that's ridiculous. good art is good, no matter what and good art will still rise and be noticed for its quality. of course, there will still be people who accept whatever is dumped upon them, but i strongly believe that even more people will actively begin searching out art that rings true to them as opposed to sucking down pre-fabricated dogshit.

And the field is more equal than ever. With DIY and Filesharing, bands can record their own music, distribute it, and generate popularity for it just as well as big-labels can.
