Boy, these rankings systems blow my mind. I tell people I am a 3,0 and I feel confident these guys would win 2 games max in a set against me. I've seen several 4.0 matches on youtube that I would beat fairly consistently. Then again, I've also seen some where people say the players are 2.5 and I feel like they are at least as good as me. No consistency to the ratings by people that claim experience.
i'm from florida, but your play is 3.5 anywhere. if you played a 4.0 tourney here, you would lose every match, 6-0, 6-0. A 4.5 player can virtually do it all. A 5.0 is a fantastic tennis player, most teaching pros are 4.5s and 5.0s. Former Div I college players are 5.0s as they get into their 30s.
You have no depth on either grounstroke, poor footwork (no split step) and stand in no man's land, tons of errors, no pace, little spin. You have a lot of work to do to be 4.0.
If this is 5 then I am NTRP 17. This is funny how everyone here tells him how he is NOT 5 and everytime he feels that he has to defend himself. Just accept it, self honesty is best.
@lachatseb ntrp only goes to 7. check a more recent posting bro. and it's the internet...there's no love, only hate. post a video of yourself playing--ask for an ntrp...see what you get. if you dare...
@LexingtonWells i'm computer rated 5.0 but now i'm probably 4.5--i'm more of a doubles player but it has been 5 years since i've played usta in the usa so i concur. i played a guy recently from baltimore who was 4.5 and he was solid so i think self rating has brought the ratings down. where do you play?
@r0baa comparatively in your section, well, 5.0's are a rare breed--most guys that become 5.0 just wait until their rating drops to 4.5. computer rated, I will be eligible to be 4.5...in two more years :( how dumb is that?
@hi10spro .. by the way, I bet you kill that opponent of yours like 6-1, 6-2 everytime you play... I wouldn't be even surprised if you bagel him consistently. I'd just pepper his backhand the whole day and take advantage of the short return. That guy is terrible... and being rated a 5.0, that's ridiculous.

@bigm77771 really. you realize my opponent in yellow is 55 and i'm in the 40's. but cool on that

solid 3.5 level tennis, they could possibly play in 4.0 tournaments, but would lose every match.

I had the same thought.

There is NO WAY these two are legitimate 5.0 players. There form is poor, their footwork is poor, no pace AND THEY MISS...A LOT!!! LOL.
Warm up? Sure, NO 5.0 warms up like that! lol. Those aren't 5.0 strokes or ability. No WAY.

where are you from? show me video of 5.0's in your section. it does vary

sigh. i'm computer rated based on my performance at Nationals, but that was 4 years ago... I really need a re-rank... :D
