@all a bit is 1/8 of a byte, a byte is 1/1025 of a kilobyte, a kilobyte is... well you get the picture... so "TECHNICALLY" minecraft isnt 8 bit, 64 bit, or any other bit less than 4kb (a limited version of minecraft that is around 64 cubic blocks)

The game is running 16 bit graphics. Any OS that can run atleast 32 bit Java can run Minecraft.

why not just convert the MC texture files into 8 bit, and then use a mod to load it? THAT would make MC 8 bit. Other option: all sets of pixels in your texture pack will be in 4's of the same color, thus simulating 8 bit

@ShiznitXD Terraria's fun until you hit endgame. Then it burns out so quickly that it's practically like a shooting star. Trust me, I know; I have 519 hours logged into it.

However, I have almost triple that in MineCraft because I always find new things to create. I think it draws me in more because of the simplicity instead of the complex equilibrium that Terraria holds.

Nonetheless though, both of them are brilliantly awesome games. I heavily, heavily suggest that people try both.
