At the time, this was the only song I really LOVED from "Music" and I was so mad she used that remix for the video. This version is so beautiful and it's one of my favorite songs ever. Love the feel of it and the spoken intro.

As far as albums with number of great songs, this is one of the best of all time on my list. Seriously, it has as many great songs that are about as good as anything on Abbey Road, Fly by Night, Zeppelin II, Blizzard of Ozz. Different music, yes, but just as awesome.

I discovered this song when I was 10, and first discovering Madonna and all that is good music. I remember sitting on my bed, staring at the boombox, and feeling, for the first time, empowered. When women speak weakly to me it actually works,especially when I'm angry about a cop,or some deal gone wrong.I go to a store pissed off and speak grumpy to a woman cashier or attendant then she speaks softly and weak. You seem fairly presumptuous here. Firstly, pants are more so the "norm" aside from gender, and there are reasons in their favour than other than gender. (Comfort, for example.)
Second, males crossdressing is associated with homosexuality, whereas female crossdressing isn't, so males are more hesitant about it. Ellen already came out as lesbian so she's off the hook.
@lookatdoor I think people can also ascribe the degradation to the individual, and not the feminine qualities themselves. Boys and Men are not supposed to act this way, but when they do, it's not the act itself that puts people off, but the person. They say and think there is something wrong with the person. Many men placed in that situation would not feel the same way if a woman was expressing the feminine qualities. The qualities didn't change, just the individual.

I discovered this song when I was 10, and first discovering Madonna and all that is good music. I remember sitting on my bed, staring at the boombox, and feeling, for the first time, empowered. Empowered to be... a girl. Empowered to be me. I'm 17 now, and I still get that wave of empowerment when I listen to this song. Thanks for everything, Madge.

When women speak weakly to me it actually works,especially when I'm angry about a cop,or some deal gone wrong.I go to a store pissed off and speak grumpy to a woman cashier or attendant then she speaks softly and weak. The angrier I get the more softly she speaks,then i feel better and smile,or leave angry then feel sad about being rude to her. I love women who know their role.

Men are often judged as weak but it is always as an excuse to get them off for behaviour which society wouldn't tolerate from women but we 'accept' it from men. They are 'ruled by their hormones' and if they cheat on their partners, it's because they are 'weak' and she 'tempted me.' Men need to start taking responsibility for their actions and stop blaming their hormones: testosterone.

You seem fairly presumptuous here. Firstly, pants are more so the "norm" aside from gender, and there are reasons in their favour than other than gender. (Comfort, for example.)
Second, males crossdressing is associated with homosexuality, whereas female crossdressing isn't, so males are more hesitant about it. Ellen already came out as lesbian so she's off the hook.

@lookatdoor I think people can also ascribe the degradation to the individual, and not the feminine qualities themselves. Boys and Men are not supposed to act this way, but when they do, it's not the act itself that puts people off, but the person. They say and think there is something wrong with the person. Many men placed in that situation would not feel the same way if a woman was expressing the feminine qualities. The qualities didn't change, just the individual.

A lot is hormones and biochemistry and that varies in men. Given the circumstances, homosexuality is not abnormal. Strange? I like to sniff a female's butt. Now why would I make a decision like that? Girls aren't slaves to their hormones and can quickly sort a boy into the friend pile or the attractive to them pile. Boys are ruled by their hormones so don't have that sort of control and that is why you often hear men described as 'weak' when they screw everything in site.
