Jewel my darling, I too had a tortured childhood, a variety of abuse, homelessness, and being the oldest of four kids at the tender age of 6 when my uncle shot himself in the head in front of us. Know that Jesus and God do hear our cries, our prayers, and feel our pain, and are there with us. We all have our crosses to bear, turn your pain into your strength, use it to develop forgiveness, compassion, and eventually help others through your experience. @jewelwonder Try to find someone that you can trust like your Pastor or a very close family member, and share what you are going through. God sees every tear that flows from your eyes, trust in him, keep praying and you He will help you soon.
@jewelwondei saw your message. i hope you are doing better. i don't know all about your life but you know God knows and sees everything and though we live in a sin filled world, God can take what the enemy means for our destruction and make something good come from it. Leave the pieces @ the Lords feet. Find someone that can intervene for you. Only the Spirit of God can heal your wounds. Find some friends in your church that truly love the Lord and hang with them.Don't become isolated.

@StaziaRemedy Thanks for the comment. Yes I am actually an Adventist. We definitely believe in the resurrection. People don't just die and go to heaven (that's a lie from the pit of hell). When we die, we remain in our graves until Jesus returns and resurrects us. All the Best.

1) After death, the next conscious thing that the righteous will see is Jesus Christ descending from heaven at His second coming (1 Thes 4:16-17). Whether you die 1 week ago or 1000 years ago, you will have to rise from your grave "first" and then be present with Christ at His second coming, you don't go straight to heaven.

And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.
Look at the verse very carefully. Now if you move the comma that precedes the word "Today" and put it after that word you would have something like this:
And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee Today, shalt thou be with me in paradise.
